Of course he’ll wiggle his way out of it.

Charlie will be carried out feet first before he’ll resign or admit wrong doing.

And this is why the public has no respect for this Congress. I bet that Charley knows where all of the bodies are buried, and my friends, this is one good bargaining Chip.

**Is anyone else having a problem with FR pages loading?**

Rangle has a resume enhancement by admitting guilt - after all, what’s a good Democrat without a felony conviction or acknowledged ethics violations???

Exactly what I was thinking. These guys probably know more about others in Congress than we do and will spill the beans if anyone trys to attack them. I’d say, go ahead and remove him and let the chips fall where they may.

You could see this coming. The last thing the Dems want is a trial exposing Rangel’s illegal acts Weeks before the elections.

Well they managed to get rid of Dan Rostenkowski about 15 years ago. And he also had been chairman of the Ways and Means
committee.

Regarding FR, yes, lots of trouble specific to FR.

Regarding Rangel, most congress critters live by, “If you’re not cheating, you’re not really trying.” [And they will face a God who “disagrees.”]

If he wasn’t a black Democrat politician, he’d be
brought up on tax evasion charges.

The last thing the Dems need right now is an investigation into Rangel's misdeeds. They want him to resign to stop the investigation so they can make it all go away by November.

The popcorn part is that, given his district, Rangel will get elected no matter what, so he has no intention of stepping down. But, dragging this out for a while, especially on the heels of the Blago trial will probably cost other Dems their seats. Way to go, Rangel. It's all good.

My guess is that they are going to push Ol’ Charlie over the side. They want him to disappear because he’s a liablility. Secondly, his constituency would vote for a card board cutout if there was a (D) behind his name. Last point, it would appear that the dems could use the high media drama of a Rangle removal as a news cover to push and pass the Disclose Act, which will give vulnerable dems cover in the upcoming election.

The committee is 4-4 Dems/GOP..Bonner has to go along with any deal..and he’s dug in his heels so far...he wants Charlie to cop to EVERYTHING..all the charges....I think Rangel retires..

Rangel won’t resign until he’s set up for the rest of his scummy life and the Dems have to know this. I’ve got to wonder what types of perks he will receive for stepping down aside from not being prosecuted for what would place the serfdom into prison for decades.
