Gulf Drilling Moratorium is Cabal to Push Obama's Radical Agenda

The negative impact of a moratorium on deep water drilling in the Gulf of Mexico is apparent to almost everyone but President Obama and his team of radicals at the Interior Department. A recent Bloomberg poll showed that 73 percent of Americans opposed the moratorium and the opposition in Louisiana is even stronger. Last week, over 20,000 fired-up Louisiana residents staged a massive rally in Lafayette protesting the idiotic moratorium.

The outpouring of opposition to the moratorium received scant national media coverage, but it was a significant display of political unity in Louisiana. In our state, Democrats and Republicans alike agree that the moratorium needs to be lifted. It is deadly to our state and national economy and could result in the loss of 140,000 jobs according to U.S. Senator David Vitter (R-LA).

Prior to the Gulf oil disaster, there were 56 operating rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Today, there are only 12 active rigs. Already, rigs have departed for the Congo and Egypt and more rigs may be leaving very soon. With the additional permitting requirements for shallow drilling and the unconstitutional moratorium on deep water, almost the entire Gulf is now off limits to drilling. At the exact time, we should be escalating plans to drill more, we are moving in the opposite direction.

Everyday, we are becoming more dependent on dictators like the rulers in the Middle East and Hugo Chavez of Venezuela. This weekend, Chavez threatened to cut off the shipment of oil to the United States if our ally Columbia “attacks” his country. Currently, Columbia and Venezuela are in a dispute over Chavez’s support for Columbian terrorists.

The United States is the top buyer of Venezuelan oil and that country is our fifth largest supplier...

It’s time for the oil companies to flip-off the government and start drilling anyway and dare the government to stop them.

The drilling ban is bad, but don’t forget that the EPA has re-invaded Texas and put the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) out of bidness. Now Zero will control refining as well.

It Begins… First Oil Rig Relocates From Gulf to Foreign Waters

"As a result of the uncertainties surrounding the offshore drilling moratorium, we are actively seeking international opportunities to keep our rigs fully employed," Dickerson said. "We greatly regret the loss of U.S. jobs that will result from this rig relocation."

Idled Gulf Rigs Head For Africa

It is not just Gulf operations that are being effected either.

Wait and see for Shell {Shell puts Arctic drilling plans on hold, waiting on feds}

Let's not leave the refineries out.

EPA gives final "no" to Texas refinery permits

Then there are the land-based oil leases.

Judge Grills Feds on Pulling Drilling Leases

"A federal judge on Wednesday questioned Interior Secretary Ken Salazar's justification for canceling 77 drilling leases sold by the Bush administration around national parks in Utah."

Slight correction: even Stupid Incarnate knows that if the moratoium is maintained for any appreciable time, the rigs now in the Gulf will be everywhere but their present locations, and they won’t come back very soon. El Rushmo is right that Hussein knows he’s wrecking our nation (but not his, whichever one that is), and he only wants it to happen faster.

I've always thought 0-bama was a dictator in waiting. I was wrong. He's not waiting.

That’s about 70%. A full blown terrorist attack targeting drilling operations in the Gulf probably would not have been that successful.

Little bammy managed it with just his unconstitutional communist agenda.

Amazing that we didn’t see coverage of this rally yet the media would have 24/7 coverage of Cindy Sheehan and her band of 3 whenever she would show up near Crawford.

20,000 people - that is a BIG rally. And no one in the media noticed!

Remember the black rallies in Louisiana a couple of years ago over the high school boys who got reprimanded. (They weren't real friendly "rallies"). Something about a sort of feud between black and white high school boys. Jesse Jackson and Big Al got involved. We were bombarded with news stories about it for days, weeks.

Blacks at a rally - let the cameras roll. White people at a rally, either ignore it or denounce it.

Either insane, psychotic Democrats or ideologues intent on revolution.

(And these are the people for whom so many “brilliant”
Independents are going to vote in November?)

IMHO

Governor Bobby Jindal’s Speech at the Rally for Economic Survival

Quote from Bob Jindal:
"On the days that the President visited the coast I asked him, Mr. President I don't think that you realize the amount of people that you are affecting with this moratorium and how many jobs will be lost. His response to me was, "They can file a claim with BP." I then in turn replied "With all due respect sir what if BP doesn't pay?" His answer was "Then they can file for unemployment!"
