He is also a Vietnam vet according to same source. He and our Numbah 1 news anchor in Honolulu, Joe Moore, were good buddies in Vietnam and have frequently done plays together here in Honolulu. They've done the Odd Couple as well as a few original plays that Moore has authored.
They've done a few little bits here and there that get pasted into the opening of the news from time to time.
