Oprah Winfrey, the ‘queen’ of American TV, has offered the cash-strapped Duchess of York her own prime-time chat show.
Billionaire Oprah, 56, is launching her own cable channel, the Oprah Winfrey Network, next January, and last week called the scandal-hit Duchess to offer her a deal.
A source close to Sarah Ferguson said last night: ‘Oprah made the call this week. They spoke in person and, for Sarah, the offer is a ray of light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
‘Oprah has known Sarah for some time and the Duchess went on Oprah’s show to explain herself after her most recent scandal. Oprah has always been impressed by Sarah’s ability to pick herself up and reinvent herself.

Oh, no, this is about the slutty ex-Duchess of York.
Sarah is actually a very talented woman. She is good in front of cameras, is witty, and can speak. She has even hosted the Larry King Dead show several times in the past and was excellent.
What she has needed in her turbulent life is good direction from good bright folks to keep her career and life in line. Not only will she make herself bucks, so will for those who will direct her in a good, honest direction and watch after her. She will make money as well as those who are watching and directing her career.
I don’t care for Oprah’s silly show, but Oprah may be the first to really help her. Oprah sees money involved for Sarah and herself. I can’t blame her as long as Sarah benefits.
Sarah’s ex may need to borrow money from her someday.

She’s fifty years old. She had the Royal Court keeping her protected, keeping her on track, and keeping her going and fed and with money in the bank. She then blew it big time. She has no one to blame but herself. I’m not a Diana fan, but Sarah was able to do commercial work and made twice as much as Diana had in her settlement.
Diana was banned from participating in moneymaking ventures and would have had to live on that for the rest of her life. Sarah made millions and blew through it, blew her reputation into the garbage with this latest scandal. I know Diana had her moments, but she didn’t accept bribes.

Oh boy, another unwatchable friend of Oprah getting their own chat show. This sponger has been living in the Prince’s house, yet the article makes him out to be the bad guy for not subsidizing her team of butlers. It’s built into the American DNA to not tolerate Royals, so I can’t see this working out as successfully as Oprah’s stable of other obnoxious half-wits - Dr. Phil, Rachel Ray etc. etc.

I am just trying to see the bright side. And I can also see how her ex cut her off....no lessons learned over the years on her part. I just hope she gets some good advice. But her spending money is like that of an addicted gambler.
