The location where Chelsea’s wedding is happening would be a good place for a sinkhole.

Dean gave new meaning to the ‘Better to silent and be thought a fool then open mouth and remove all doubt’.

Amen, bray. Excellent post as usual.

Liked the line about the press playing the race card so much they won’t have enough cards left to play blackjack.

I believe they’ve played that card so much that it’s all grubby and fingerprinted and nobody is really paying attention to it any more.

Our enemy, I’ve always said, is not so much congress, the prez or the courts, although they’re bad enough... but I think it is the media.

None of those losers would have ever been elected or come to power without the protection and the influence of the MSM.

Yes, Maica, I thought they very same thing!

Also, the reading from Genesis... If enough of us remain faithful to God, He will spare us! I say pray for our country that He will turn enough hearts that come this Nov 2nd (exactly 100 days from today), they will flip the House and Senate. Dear Lord, make it so!

God bless the USA!

They need to isolate the Tea Parties and make people think they are racist extremists. It is working to a point as they’re telling the lie so often people will begin to believe it.

Its obvious their campaign is going to be stay w/the moderate Dem rather than an extreme racist. We can beat it w/do you want a politician or a regualar person. The TP candidates need to embellish their out of DC regular guy trait.

Pray for America

"Who put the sand in Wallace’s shorts?"

Did you see his face when Dean blamed the Sherrod fiasco on Fox News? He got fired up then, and never backed off.

I hope not. Dr. Hank would then be homeless... /g

(On the USA network show "Royal Pains" Oheka Castle is where Dr. Hank Lawson lives. It's one of the primary filming locations.)

It seems like every time in the past few days that I have thought “I want to print that!”, you are the author of the post. Here is another great one, and a keeper. There indeed has been a mockery made out of the original “10”.

I have high blood pressure, and my doctor requires that I have a blood test every 3 months and pay him an office visit before he will re-fill the scripts. The last 2 times my white blood cell count was up, so he referred me to a hematologist for tests. The chest x-ray was negative, so that was followed by a bone marrow draw so they could rule out really bad stuff like cancer.

So I spent 30 minutes in his office, as he stuck a needle in my back and drew some bone marrow and fluid. Then I had to wait a few weeks for the results, partially because he went to a conference out of town.

I got a phone call from him, and it went something like this; "we can't find anything wrong with you, so you may just be one of those people who have high white blood cell counts when there is nothing wrong. It could also be because you are a smoker, and smokers have higher counts than other people. So sometime this year you should see an ENT specialist and see if you are allergic to something that would cause this. Have a nice life, and we don't need to see each other again." The Explanation Of Benefits came from Blue Cross a few days ago. The total charges the doctor submitted for his work and the lab work? $14,000 plus. Over 9K of that was lab fees. BCBS paid a little over 4K and showed that I might owe the provider over 4K.

And that is with nothing physically wrong. So 224K for an actual illness almost sounds like a bargain. Makes you wonder how much of that is for malpractice insurance and the cost of complying with government regulations.

The response to the teacher was long overdue. This guy is really sharp. He truly knows how to cut through the nonsense.

Good posts from both of you. The media is the front line in this war against conservatives. I once said that the education system was right there too, however that front is more of a parent problem than anything else. If parents would quit listening to the media and stop following Hollywood, the education front would not be tolerated. So again, the media is the front line.

Great Fox News Sunday. Chris really stuck it to Howard Dean. Jesse Jackson - how can anyone take this man seriously?

I do believe it’s fair for tea party patriots, independents and Republicans to ask each Democrat candidate if he or she is planning on race-baiting by playing the race card the way so many in their party have done?

I think it’s also fair to respond to Democrat supporters the same way. Are they also willing to use race as an issue when everyone knows their candidate is a race-baiting politician?

Following both, asking how they feel about using race as an issue when they must know it hurts blacks and/or Hispanics every time they do this? Is this election so important that they would create racial tensions needlessly?

Shame, shame, shame.....

I was figuring the high cost was because of illegal aliens.

Cause you got to know if you take the interest on the hospital mortgage, any taxes it pays...cost of space in other words, plus the cost of nursing care which is the ONLY medical personnel provided in the hospital....it does not equal $7500 a day. The nursing personnel make..what?..maybe $200 a shift...times three shifts...that’s $600 a day for nursing. The nurses handle maybe ten patients a day....

In husband’s case there was the cost of his bed and the nursing care but using normal economical methods of computing costs to charge, no way does it come near $7500 a day. The hospital does provide such as physical therapy. Husband did have some...maybe every third day...a guy to walk him around, get him moving. There was also the cost of the milk stuff to nourish him and the hospital did provide him his scrips...in his case blood pressure medicine and anti-seizure meds.

neither of these meds are very expensive. The blood pressure med husband takes he gets three months worth from Walmart. The Keppera....costs about $27 a month on our medical plan. I imagine the hospital gets their meds on the cheap.

It’s to pay for all the folks who don’t pay their medical bills. Here in the swamps we got a lot of Ecuadorian illegals who camp out in the ER, like they do in the rest of the country.

You get someone with a good medical plan you charge them triple what would likely be a fair cost if hospital had to survive like a normal business.

$14K charged as in your story, even if your health provider got in cut in half like they do....well I believe you but there’s nothing even remotely logical, or sustainable, in these rates.

But I don’t have the answers, I sure don’t, except maybe try making the illegals pay their share, just for starters.

I’m sorry Didi....I missed this post what with all the spies after me and everything. Insert wink here.

I don’t know that I’d call myself a Fox & Friends fan necessarily, but let me turn on the morning TV and if anything else is on I immediately turn it to Fox. Just can’t stand ABCNBCCBS, or trust them.

Yeah, it was Doocy...however you spell it. He got mad at ED one morning and said, out loud and on the air, nasty like, “It’s not all about you, E.D.”

I only heard this one time but it shocked me to a standstill. Beyond that I really never heard a cross word between E.D. and anybody.

Dana Perino....cute lady, nice lady no doubt. I guess she offers some insight that us morons out here in la-la land where we carry this country on back don’t have. But she’s the kind of Republican that’s pulling us down as I see it.

As for Doocy’s kid, hey he does an okay job I guess. My perhaps knee-jerk reaction is that is that old nepotism raising its head again. I am instinctively against that sort of thing. Cause somewhere out in the heartland is a very hard-working poor kid without a Dad already got a host slot on a morning TV show. That kid will never have the break the Doocy kid got and that kid might be real good. It’s just my innate sense of injustice that causes me to burp unpleasantly.

But I sure don’t lose any sleep over it.

My favorite is Brian. He will come up with the most off the wall comments some times. I wonder if someday he might get his self fired cause at times he’s really out there.

I don’t know if ED got fired but if she did, I’m waging a guess that she was disliked by the rest of the cast. And yeah, she had a passel of kids and I think she often had to have special hours.

It ain’t rocket science but ahhhhh....I’m just speculatin’. It’s what I do and I do it well.

I’m only wrong 50% of the time. My record is right up there with Dick Morris.
