There’s a big matter about that seat that is waaaay different than any of the other senatorial elections coming up.

Huh? I don't know what you mean. Maybe I missed something . . . of course, I miss practically everything in protracted hot weather . . .

BTW, Zillow estimates Geithner's house is now worth $1,175,000 with a Value Range of $881K – $1.42M

Down 26% in six years. Not a wise investment.

This is the best Zero can do for a Treasury Secretary?

Scheiffer must have listened to Rush! Rush has really been pouring it on him about not knowing this, and pouring on what Bob considers the media because they’ve kept it totally quiet.

lol, I was thinking the same thing.....but there WAS a woman on Rush's show who said she had actually talked to Scheiffer and asked him why he hadn't covered the Black Panther case from 2008. So, I think it was her personal phone call to Bob that prodded him into covering it. He said he didn't know about it.....

Hmmmmm, I'm thinking we need to call Bob and ask him why he hasn't covered the "Journolist" folks, or something, anything. I don't think I can take another Sunday political roundup devoted to race grievances.

Could we possibly invent a more corrupt media than we already have? At least Pravda can say they had a gun to their head while our dirtbags only have their own selfish political gain and hatred of America.

Having worked alongside the vermin in lamestrean media for several decades I can attest to the Absolute Truth of the above statement—one of bray’s best, I might add.

And the literal answer is decidedly “No.” We could never have invented something that required generations of Marxist influence and infiltration to occur as it has, um, “organically.”

But Yuri Andropov COULD have invented it—and basically he did.

These Journolistos are nothing more than the KGB’s surviving bastard children or grand children, as the case may be. They are the “agents in perpetuity” that Andropov imagined would be more easily created in America than even Yaser Arafat and the spies inside the Vatican, first created as they were in Moscow Centre’s best think tanks.

And the great “beauty” of it is (from the Marxist POV), the journolistos actually don’t even know what they are. You can’t “crack” them under interrogation and get anything useful because most of them don’t even know WHAT they are. They know only that others of like mind gave them their current positions/missions inside the media.

It all proves that “hatred for America” is one of the best organizing principles in use today in the world and particularly inside institutions like media, government and NGO bureaucracies, academia and the “school system,” labor unions, the UN, the Democrat Party, even the many bogus churches “colonized” by the KGB decades ago.

Believe me, this is EXACTLY what our media is today—an orthodoxy populated by corrupt, leftist vermin who are ultimately undistinguished one from another by virtue of their sheer hatred for America and the people.

That’s it. That’s who is giving you “the news.” How anyone could ever believe a word of it is beyond me.

Really, Steve did that? I've seen them together where he's called her his "television wife" as they were together for all those years. Like real marriages it could have just been a bad day. I do remember her leaving because of the early hours...she does have a very large family, lots of kiddies.

I thought the rumor about her being "fired" from Fox was the terrorist jab. I always liked her and would gladly see her back on the Friends instead of that Alisyn who I can't stand...talk about in your face every day! And while I'm at it, Dana Perino is awful as a Friend...that chirpy voice for three hours! Loved seeing Juliet Huddy this week. I always thought Peter as the budding journalist was the trade-off for Brian getting a radio show. (I'm a Friends Fan, too.)

Good morning everyone, "They seem to think that "rich" peoples' money is the governments' money. I cannot understand their logic."

I think that for some, their 'logic' can be explained in part by their belief in Facism and/or Cloward-Piven.

I've read about it before, but I think this post summarizes it well:

Here's a paragraph from it:

THIS MEETS BOTH STANDARDS SET FORTH BY CLOWARD-PIVEN. THE GOVERNMENT BENEFIT IS MADE AVAILABLE, THEN AS MANY ELIGIBLE PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE ARE ENCOURAGED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE BENEFIT UNTIL THE SYSTEM COMES CRASHING DOWN OF ITS OWN WEIGHT FORCING THE GOVERNMENT TO HAVE TO STEP IN AND WHOLLY MANAGE IT AS THEY SEE FIT.

The beginning of the thread "Barack Obama, the Quintessential Liberal Fascist (A most timely re-post)" is a link to an article from The American Thinker - Kelly Anne Shiver from May 2009:

In the end, however slow the process, however seemingly benign the growth of the state may seem, liberal fascism has the same result of all tyrannies before it: hell on earth for most and a self-indulgent feast for the Statists in power.

As Barack Obama speaks, thinking Americans ought to hear the echoes of past fascist demagogues and remember. Remember.

When Barack Obama promises "collective redemption" through his profligate spending programs and vast overtures to a new world order built on love for our fellow man, we ought to shudder not swoon.

We ought to remember that healthy global relationships are built upon respect, not all-encompassing love, and that redemption for one's soul is a commodity the state is not empowered to offer.

As Pope Benedict XVI has so presciently warned:

Wherever politics tries to be redemptive, it is promising too much. Where it wishes to do the work of God, it becomes, not divine, but demonic.

In addition, see post #3, I've read things here and there about Obama and Rahm 'preferences' but this is quite a summary (just heard mention recently of Lott, but don't recall reading/hearing anything about Frist or Deval Patrick before)

From what I noticed on the talk shows this morning, the dems are doubling down on the race issue. It’s all they have.

Good pickup there. The word has gone out to rally the base for Nov and that means get the blacks to the polls. It’s always dicey when the leftie candidates are white, as most are. So, crank up the journolisto smear machine...

To: Alas Babylon!; All

Off topic but according to the Italian news last night, we Americans are all breathlessly excited over Chelsea’s royal wedding. The townsfolk of Rhinecliff are thrilled even with all the Secret Service around and so happy for her. The reporter even showed the hotel rooms where Babs, Oprah and the Boy King will be lodging. Just thought I’d make everyone’s day. ;)

Well I'm glad you asked, Mary Z.

Mary responds to my assertion upthread that the upcoming Delaware senatorial race between Mike Castle The RINO and, if he wins the pub nom, Coons, a Democrat. Christine O'Donnell is running against Castle for the pub nomination. The Delaware GOP, entrenched Blue Bloods all, enamored of Du Pont, went ahead and RE-NOMINATED Castle although the guy voted FOR Cap and Trade, something that not even the bluest of bloods can justify as good in any way for Delaware. Castle and that Vietnam guy were the only two House pubs who voted for that monstrosity, about to come up for a vote Tues so I hear, that will effectively legislatively over-rule the recent Supreme Court ruling on campaign speech by companies.

Castle also voted FOR Tarp, AGAINST the Iraq surge. He votes with the Dems 80% of the time. There's a groundswell here in Delaware to get rid of the guy and that's what my past week has been filled with. I always seem to get in the middle of these things even though I am just walking down the street and chewing gum.

I hope y'all can read between the lines cause I got to be very vague. They follow me everywhere.

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not after me, if you get my drift.

Now Christine O'Donnell, a lady who I know VERY well, and have through the years. She's a devoted Christian and has ran several times. Last general election she did get nominated by the blue blood GOP cause she was running against Biden and the GOP knew no one would beat Plugs. Still, O'Donnell got more votes running against Biden than anyone EVER did in the past. Christine has also ran on write-in votes and did win in one county that way. Delaware only has 3 counties, bear in mind, one of them the biggest this side of the Mississip. That is also an impressive feat.

Below a pic of my granddaughter with Christine.

Anyhow, let me first explain WHY this upcoming little Delaware race is sooooo important, more important than any other senatorial race coming up this November.

Whoever wins Delaware's senatorial seat will be SEATED IMMEDIATELY!

That's right. Cause this vote is to replace Biden and the winner will ascend to the senate the day after any victory.

So we got a Lame Duck congress coming up, right? Y'all have heard the story about nefarious plans to slip through a liberal agenda during that lame duck session, right? Cause the libs and Communists now running the ship of state into the ground know that it'll be a loooong time before they get any kind of power again.

If Mike Castle wins that senate seat, folks he's going to make the Maine sisters look like Rush Limbaughs by the time he gets done.

Again, us savages living here in the swamps of Delaware want to get rid of Castle and until the Biden thing, he was scheduled to retire after graciously serving as Delaware Governor for two terms and in the House, as Delaware's ONLY Representative there, Del being the only state with more senators than reps, for eight years or so.

But the Du Pont GOP in this state decided that only Castle had enough name recognition to wrest the senatorial seat away from the Dems although, technically, Mike Castle IS a Dem.

Imagine that! The Gop, our own Republican party, nominated this guy AFTER that awful Cap and Trade vote...how the hell can they sleep at night? Not only that, but by putting Castle in the Senate they're giving him all that power during a lame duck session when the guy, go with me here, CANNOT be trusted. Power he'll now have for SIX YEARS and as one out of a hundred. When he was in the House he at least faced the voters every two years and was only 1 out of 490+.

The REPUBLICAN PARTY FOLKS!

Screwing us always and always and always.

Now there's lots of stories I'll share about local goings on but wanted to get the big story out there. FreeRepublic is a big forum on this Internet. Hot Air started covering the O'Donnell/Castle race. Mark Levin got on the air about two weeks ago.

Christine has been interviewed and is being vetted by the Palin people. If every anyone deserved a Palin endorsement it's Christine....seriously, she is one of the sweetest and most sincere females...a true conservative and she hangs in there though the Blue Bloods, the Du Pont devotees, smack her down silly every time.

So we need to get this into a national campaign. Remember, the Delaware GOP spit in our faces and nominated that awful Castle despite that vote on Cap and Trade. To thank them, Castle then was the only House pub to vote for that assault on our freedom of speech, just recently.

The Delaware GOP nominated this guy again!

And oh I got stories...stories on them all. I know so much I scare even myself.

For the republican party...they want to hold onto their power. They don't necessarily care about the teeming masses, folks. Castle's got power and Castle's got money.

We're fighting tooth and nail here in Delaware but if I did nothing else...at least I put it all in writing.

More later, if I get time, for some really hair-raising stories about this race and how yours truly....well forget for now you even know me, folks.

But I'm hanging in there.

Newt must have been reading FR ;-)

I missed this exchange between Newt and Screamin’ Dean:

“If the Obama administration is this afraid of Glenn Beck, how do they deal with the Iranians?” wondered Gingrich, of the rogue state.

“There may be some similarities, Newt,” Dean interjecting, chuckling, in a sarcastic jibe that nonetheless can be expected to provoke the hackles of Beck’s fans, who have embraced him as a political leader of sorts. “There may be some similarities,” Dean repeated.

Gingrich reiterated his point: “If they’re that frightened by an American TV show, how do they deal with the real world?”
