As The Daily Callers coverage of the now-defunct liberal listserv Journolists 2008 Obamamania campaign grew more intriguing each day this week, a slew of emails hit my inbox asking variations of this: So, when do you think the P-bombs going to drop? Of course, they were referring to the fact that there was no way in heck Sarah Palin couldve steered clear of scathing remarks. I responded with, My guess is its on its way. And whadya know? Yesterdays headline read: Liberal journalists swapped their best lines of attack for coordinated non-official campaign against Palin selection.

Why can’t these “journalists’ be tried for violations of election law?
I agree. Isn’t this considered a non-monetary campaign contribution?
I think a class action law suit is in order
Good Tancredo interview!!

...and that was just the men.
There is just no way Sarah Palin is equipped to be vice-president, much less president. She doesnt know enough; she lacks the necessary grasp of, and curiosity about, our complex world; her political philosophy could fit on a bumper sticker: Us versus Them. (OH THE IRONY)!!!!
She later wrote, Palins only qualification for the second or, God forbid, the first job in the land is that John McCain thought shed lend his sagging campaign a shot of estrogen and some right-wing Christian fairy dust.
Just a guess, “free speech?” but they were in collusion to throw the election to the Marxist. I don’t know what you’d call it? They’re free to report lies, to lie by omission, etc.
But for Fox News, on televsion, they literally marched in lock-step throughout campaign ‘08 and FNC stuck to its ‘fair and balanced’.
Welcome to the USSR.
I concur. Seems to me that Sarah could have standing.
I think there are lots of things that ought to happen.
First, a thorough study of the conspiracy of the J-listers to elect Barack Obama by every means necessary.
Second, the management of any reputable news entity should fire those who participated (especially where it can be easily shown that writings were coordinated with the list).
If management were themselves members of the JournoList, then the Boards of Directors of those publicly held news entities should demand management’s firing.
And finely, if Boards of the WaPo or NY Times or whomever won’t do what they should, stock holders should bring suit.
I'm so sick of this crap. This, too, will blow over and be forgotten just like the scientists emails regarding the made up global warming.
It’ll be interesting to see if any of the named journOlists are fired.
If not, then perhaps the conspiracy goes to the CEO’s and editors of publications or “news” organizations, and from there to stockholders and then MAYBE our side might have a case.
Oh yes, BUMP.
While I was typing to you, CAluvdubya....
Yikes! I think she deserves a whole new category of ‘ugly’ just for herself. Ugh!
And now I'm wondering how many of those early hit-piece authors were in fact JournoList members and were sharing anti-Palin material among each other in order to take her down.
And I'm also wondering if that Anchorage-based AP muckraker Rachel D'Oro, who's in bed with the Alaska anklebiters and can always be counted on for timely Palin hit-pieces, was on JournoList as well?
That’s is a really, really interesting post.
BuckeyeTexan, take a look at the link in the post from an amused spectator. That FR thread has a list of hit-pieces in the MSM that came out right after Palin was announced as McCain’s VP running mate. I’d be curious to see how many of those authors are Journolistas.
