Rangel has dragged this out precisely because he could and Pelosi has been behind him all the way. The Democrats may have miscalculated and painted themselves into a corner ( sort of like when Hitler invaded the Soviet Union). I guess we'll find out. Anyone remember when Rostenkowski got fired?
