As was said long ago, to the effect that once people can vote for money to be given to them, Democracy is gone and so is the Republic.

With nearly an even split now between those who make their own way, and earn it, and those that live off the backs of others via handouts, we cannot survive much longer in this mode.

4th generation welfare is the result of decades of social engineering, and businesses who lobby for illegals to be allowed free rides, so they can use them as employees at low wages and don't have to pay benefits (the Taxpayers carry the medical, tax, and education cost burdens. That's the illegal immigration problem in a nutshell, where politicians look the other way to keep the corporate/business donations coming, so the low-pay workforce can be had.
