Crucial signs that freedom is not only possible but imminent.
The Iranian Revolution of 1979 began with Ayatollah Khomeini promising Iranians full freedom and a government by the people and for the people. In his speeches leading up to the Revolution, the Ayatollah proclaimed that, "A nation that doesn't have freedom does not have civilization. A civilized nation is one that is free." He also said that, "There should be freedom of the press and people should have the right to their opinion" and "In our government, clergy will not govern but help you with your spirituality. In our government, women will be free, and officials can be publicly criticized."
People, joyful of his positive messages, turned their backs on the Shah--who had brought them peace, respect, and luxury--in the hope of the political freedom that was nonexistent during the Shah. Sadly, this joy quickly turned to horror. Instead of the freedom he'd promised, Khomeini snatched back the liberties women had begun to gain under the Shah, reducing them to second-class citizens without the right to inheritance, child custody and divorce. Khomeini and his cohorts forced women to wear the Islamic hijab--whipping them if they didn't--and reverted to stoning woman for adultery. The Islamic regime claimed that anyone speaking against them was mohareb, an enemy of God. Because the regime purported to be representatives of God on Earth, they ordered the execution of all opposition. Teenage girls were raped before their deaths because the regime felt this would prevent them from going to heaven. Boys were rounded up and hanged from cranes.

Thanks FARS. So sad to read of the shortages and suffering those people are going through.
Two evil men destroying their countries.
This kind of rebellion stuff has been bubbling up regularly for years, often followed by warnings that if we take military action against Iran it could unify the country and end the nascent anti-mullah revolution.
The time is long overdue to given Iran a very bloody nose and let the chips fall where they may. We do not need to ‘nuke’ Iran to take out its navy, air power, gasoline refinery (singular), and degrade its infrastructure. Once they have been defanged they can be allowed to figure out how to run their own slagpile.

Thanks for the ping!
I seem to remember reading about an interview with him several years ago in which he stated he didn't believe a return to monarchy was the right course. Have you ever heard anything about that?
There was a period where he estimated that with a wife and children and a safe life in the USA, there was little point locking horns with the Mullahs as long as America refused to provide any financial or political support
Specially as his father-in-law began huge housing ppojects in Iran with the Mullahs and created a discouraging conflict within the family.
A key military colonel in his entourage/secretariat, brother of a former General chief of the Royal Guards also suddenly bought a shopping mall (with money from where other than the Mullahs?) discouraged him.
He therefore apparently came to tacit terms with the Mullahs and accepted their promise not to assassinate him if he kept out of the fray.
This was after a three person team of killers were dispatched from Tehran and were to be introduced into his presence by one of the so called “persecuted fugitives” from Iran but in fact infiltrators, who could obtain access.
AntiMullah discovered the plan and warned both the Prince and the FBI so luckily it never happened.
Until he receives a firm backing from the US, which under Obama keeps pretending to fear being accused of involvement with anti-Iran regime activity and thus allows slaughter of dissidents so the Prince cannot really carry the burden alone.
He even moved his activity to France to avoid it being “an American plot”.
Even today, the Administration and our military are apparently at odds where Obama does NOT want to support the only well known symbol to oppose the Islamic regime and the military is looking at him as a viable catalyst.
There’s lots more to this including the Obama Moslem promoting mindsets but the overthrow cannot start with jousting at windmills just for the sake of doing it.
Who might that be? Last time I checked, they had more than one columnist in investments
. Investments is their area, you know.
One of my favorites is Ken Fisher, who chooses to honor the public service of our political class by deriving the word politics from the Greek poli, meaning many
, and tics
, meaning small, blood-sucking creatures
. What's to argue with there?
His first name is John and he is in chicago.
It works in Spain because Carlos was wise enough to be a true uniter. RPII should follow the same path...Iran doesn't need a new dictator. it needs someone to reestablish a legitimate Persian identity far away from nutcase Islam.
We prefer to refer to this mess as The Failed Obama Administration©
FARS: ...as shortages hit and fuel for vehicles becmes harder to find and food items are either no longer easily available or cost so much they are way beyond most family income or budgets. Rumors abound that president Ahmadi-Nejad will be removed from office but in reality the most likely action will be that General Jaffari, commander of the paramilitary Revolutionary Guards, which is the core influence/power in Iran right now, will implement a coup and take over running the country. Thanks FARS.
RPII, unfortunately, is nothing like his honorable grand father: Reza Shah the Great. And, less worthy than his father: Mohammad Reza Shah. Even if RP’s approach, vis a vis Reza Shah’s (his grand father) had/has to change to fit today’s times & geo-politics.
A reason, IMO, IRI has largely left him alone so far is because he is a non-event, no more a puppet than Ahmadinejad, with IRI & Others, and, with many poor judgements, on RPII’s part, over the decades.
RPII will end up, I guess, just like the ex-Afghan King, and many others like them. Unless, RPII is “Installed” in Iran by other governments.
The name of the Iranian (midget) Turk, aka an "An Iranian Azari Turk" is: Ayatollah Ali Khamenei (he is the Supreme Leader & the Head of the Islamic State of Iran. He wears an Islamic Shia turban and a robe).
Amadi-Nejad is not an Azari-Turk, though he is a criminal. And, Ahmadi-Nejad is a nobody, only one who has to toe the line with what he is told.
“it is hard to predict things, especially the future.” Yogi Berra
Some confusion here. Ali KHamenei is not an Azari (Persian turkic ethnicity from the North West region) he doews from the Khorrassan Province (capital Mashhad).
Empress Farah is from there as is RPII’s wife and thus father in law.
Ahmadi-Nejad is a Jewish convert to Islam from a South East of Tehran and changed his name to Ahmadi-nejad..
He speaks Azari perfectly well without a "fars" accent. Very few "Persians" aka "Fars" (referring to both language & ethnicity) "Iranian" people do or can manage that in Iran. So what is his "ethnicity" ? Regardless of the town/city or province in Iran he was born in ?
"Empress Farah is from there as is RPIIs wife and thus father in law"
From 'there'?... Where? Azarbaijan? Not exactly.
Farah Diba-Pahlavi's father was from Azarbaijan, therefore a "Turk Azari". Her mother is from "Gilan" province in Iran (therefore, not an Azari-Turk). At least that is what she has said in her own book: "Farah Pahlavi - An Enduring Love - A Memoir". Also, I personally, heard her say the same on "Radio Israel", a few years ago.
"Ahmadi-Nejad is a Jewish convert to Islam from a South East of Tehran and changed his name to Ahmadi-Nejad.. "
It was understood a long time ago that Ahmadi-Nejad's father in the 1950's changed his last name from "Sabrian or Saberian" to "Ahmadi-Nejad".
However, can you provide actual proof to your claim that "Ahmadi-Nejad is a Jewish convert to Islam" ?
I agree, for the benefit of those who read this thread, let's be specific. I'm really curious too.
by speaking “Azari”, I mean “Turkish-Azari” in post #58 regarding Khamenei.
I’m not here to “prove” anything but Ahmadi-Nejad’s Jewish origin is common knowledge among the upper echelons of the regime.
Empress Farah’s father not mother sets her official ethnic origin, which her Gilani mother only dilutes. A bit like Obama’s Kenyan father and American mother making him ineligible.
You are right about Khamenei’s ethnic origin as he comes from ancient Azari roots but his family emigrated to Mashhad in Khorrassan long ago. As did many Kurds, who were Communist supporters.
Before rising to giddy heights he has today, he was a beggar of alms in Mashhad cemeteries and lived off the monthly food packages he got from the Imam Reza shrine charity ,
Thanks.
