Tried posting in General/Chat & it didn't work. Let me try again: I have an opportunity to see Bobby Collins, but I have heard contradictory reports about the content of his show. Does anyone know if he has gone from clean to crude? Yes, I'm a prude and have no desire to pay good money to be sworn at or listen to vulgar "jokes" Thanks

My husband and I saw Bobby Collins last year and he was very funny. He does use some adult language but not to the extent many other comics do. I’d say that he swore maybe 5-10 times (he’s no Richard Prior or Eddie Murphy if that is what you are afraid of). His content was mostly clean and quite funny. He has a special needs daughter and collected donations for a charity after the show. Go see him, you won’t feel like walking out.

I applaud PA BOOKEND for thinking that the readers on this forum are intelligent enough to give her a good answer. I’ve tried your method of going directly to the website advertising the show and it only puts out the best not the down & dirty.

I trust my brothers & sisters on FR way more than the residents of Googleworld. Even Freepers who aren’t prudes & wouldn’t be offended by the language thing will respect the spirit in which the question was asked & be honest with me.

Heavy lifting? He isn't asking for other people to do any major work. He wants to know if anyone knows anything about the guy's act. If not, you don't need to do anything. If you do know, he would like to hear your opinion.
It is highly unlikely that the guy's website is going to say, "Stay away from this show if you are a prude."
Until I discontinued service, I listened to the “clean comedy” channel on satellite radio and occasionally they would have a Bobby Collins routine but it was rare and his routines were mildly amusing. There was also a lot of bleeping out the obscenities.
One could turn to the “blue collar” comedy channel wbich was a mixture of clean and dirty and he was on often but I soon added him to the ones I would not listen to. Potty mouth.
I also could not stand that Brooklyn speech of his. Repellent to me.
In sum: expect a garbage mouth show.
