What percentage of the population is certifiably insane?
During my first year Psychology courses, I remember one study that asserted in any given population, 17% of people suffer from sever mental illness or psychosis that affects their daily lives.
Congress has even pissed off the crazy people....

The scumbags will get to 12% sooner or later, then proclaim it an historic mandate from the people and attempt to take over another chunk of our society.

Okay: 435 seats in the House up for re-election.
91 are “in play”.
That’s less than half of the people who voted for Healthcare.
91 divided by 435 = 20%.
When you start throwing out the incumbents in that 91 who win, the percentage gets a lot lower.
Alan Grayson’s seat = “Toss Up” (Instead of “blowout”.)
Nancy Pelosi’s Seat = “Safe”
Barney Frank’s Seat = “Safe”
Chuck Rangel’s Seat = “Safe”
Chuck Schumer’s Seat = “Likely Democrat”
Why are our leaders smiling? why are they defying the will of the people?

The poll is meaningless because 350 districts are pre-committed to incumbents.

The Americans you refer to for voting Dembo, are the shiftless lazy low lives that will vote for any free raid on the Treasury. We have now produced a class of people who will not work, look for work, or pretend to work, why should then when Harry Reid and his cronies give them all they want for free.

It was nearly that low when the GOP was in charge. But I attribute that to their lack of movement towards freedom and a slower embrace of socialism. If the GOP got in office and pushed to bring REAL reform, like the elimination of the income tax, repealing the 17th amendment, a balanced budget amendment tied to a percentage the gross national product (minus government spending), term limits for Congress, repealing Obamacare, elimination of about 40 unnessary government agencies, they would be wildly popular.

That certainly doesn’t stop Congress, does it? I’m sure all the members get fan mail from the people they hand out taxpayer dollars too. They probably believe the public thinks they’re wonderful.

Why shouldn’t they vote for Democrats. The Democrats promise them free money. The voters don’t realize that the money has to come from somewhere.
Congress is suffering from a delusion that they can keep spending and everything will be all right. They hope the crunch comes when they’re safely out of office.
