Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestinian Authority told the Fatah faction's central committee this week that he convinced United States Jews during his recent visit to the United States to tell President Barack Obama that there was an Arab partner for peace and to ask if there was an Israeli one. He said that after a two-hour meeting with "the Jewish lobby" there were those who promised to tell Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to break up his coalition or declare his recognition of the two-state solution to the Arab-Israeli dispute.

What solution? It hasn't been negotiated yet, and Abu Mazen doesn't want it to be. He wants it dictated to Israel by 0.

While anything you hear from a Moose source needs to be taken with a large pellet of salt, in this case this is almost not news. This is dog bites man. It’s what we expect based on past demographic history, and as you suggest, biblical history. Jews who aren’t serious about religious/supernatural matters (which is most of them in America, and periodically was most of them in biblical times) can’t seem to grok the dynamics of what drives the Moose menace, and nice talk won’t make that menace go away or keep it at bay.
Maybe this is bluster, but it’s well within plausibility that Abbas actually did this. Of course Abbas is not talking about “all the Jews” in America, just a particularly easily swayed liberal contingent of the Jews. Which is pretty much coextensive with the majority that never darken the door of a conservative or Orthodox synagogue and typically vote Rat.

Arab Muslims love to tell tall tales. When you believe in a false prophet you are liable to say any damn thing you please. Abbas might have gotten a few Jewish leaders to nod at him favorably.
The thing Abbas cares most about, which is what they do at the polls, seems to still be promising for him.
When it comes to American Jews? Absolutely.
I dunno about Shumer. He is a dirtbag, but...I have never heard him make an anti-Israeli statement. Maybe I just haven’t been paying enough attention to what he says—who can blame me though?
