I thought these folks were in their 80s. No offense, but are they internet savvy enough to respond to online questions, or is someone helping them?

This is funny - the left always overreacts with the damage control.

They are the authors of the hit & run smear... surely they're aware no one is paying attention anymore. We've all been conditioned to short attention spans by the MSM.

Did anyone say MACACA on these tapes? If not, why is the WAPO getting involved?

Mt. Holly Springs, Penn.: Where the Spooner’s aware that Mrs. Sherrods father (Hosie Miller) had been killed by a white man, and did she (Shirley) ever speak about it to them?

Eloise Spooner: She never told us about it. We heard it on TV.

hmmmmmmmmmm ...

She said that Barack didn’t grow up as African-Americans did. What’s up with that?

Again, the problem wasn't so much with Mrs. Sherrod as it was with her audience, the NAACP (self-appointed guardians of anything that hints of 'racism') - who were 'applauding/cheering' (or generally supporting) racist comments (e.g., sending the 'white farmer to talk to his own kind').

Whether Mrs. Sherrod is a racist or marxist wasn't really the issue. We've all made mistakes in the past, and if she's mended her ways with regards to racial bigotry - good for her.

Hmmm ...

Eloise Spooner: Shirley helped us when we really needed help and when we listened to the tape we felt we really wante to help her. It started Tuesday morning. Our son came up here and said Mother turn on the TV at CNN, your friend Shirley is on and we did and we listened and we knew instantly that it was us they were talking about.

So we listened and me and Roger looked at each other and we said that she helped us when we really needed help and we were gonna try to help her.

And then my son, he called CNN and told ‘em that we were the couple they were talking about and if they wanted to talk to us he gave them our telelphone number ...

Maryland, Md.: Mr. Spooner, when you first met Shirley Sherrod, she thought you were showing her that you’re superior to her. Is that what you were doing?

Eloise Spooner: That’s what the tape said but he’s really not. You just have to get to know him. He’s hard of hearing and he talks loud. After she got to know him, she changed her mind, I think.

—snip—

Hmmm . . . so did she lie in her speech about Mr. Spooner?

Someone (Soros' Media Matters?) smeared Rush with phony quotes on wikiquotes and the media reported it as fact. The kerfluffle cost Rush Limbaugh the opportunity to bid on an NFL franchise (he was black listed).

Night and day

Meanwhile the presstitutes are ignoring the Journolist leak.

WE KNOW YOU COORDINATE YOUR ATTACKS ON THE RIGHT. WE KNOW THAT YOU WILL ALLEGE RACISM WHEN THINGS AREN'T GOING WELL FOR YOU EVEN WITHOUT ANY EVIDENCE OF IT.

---

The Pravda Media is just doing what they said on Journolist that they would do.

Documents show media plotting to kill stories about Rev. Jeremiah Wright [Journolist] (The Daily Caller July 20, 2010 Jonathon Strong)

In one instance, Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent urged his colleagues to deflect attention from Obama’s relationship with Wright by changing the subject. Pick one of Obama’s conservative critics, Ackerman wrote, “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”

... Spencer Ackerman, then of the Washington Independent (now writing for Wired)... "I do not endorse a Popular Front, nor do I think you need to. It’s not necessary to jump to Wright-qua-Wright’s defense. What is necessary is to raise the cost on the right of going after the left. In other words, find a rightwinger’s [sic] and smash it through a plate-glass window. Take a snapshot of the bleeding mess and send it out in a Christmas card to let the right know that it needs to live in a state of constant fear. Obviously I mean this rhetorically."

Liberal journalists suggest government shut down Fox News (The Daily Caller ^ | 7/21/2010 | Jonathan Strong )

Jonathan Zasloff, a law professor at UCLA, suggested that the federal government simply yank Fox off the air. “I hate to open this can of worms,” he wrote, “but is there any reason why the FCC couldn’t simply pull their broadcasting permit once it expires?””

Breitbart is the new Joe The Plumber. This is a beat down orchestrated from the Chicago thugocracy in the White House on down.

Huh?

“Eloise Spooner: I just wish the world would get better for everybody.

Shirley called me today and told me she talked to the president. She wanted to come over tomorrow but we’re gonna be busy; ...”

Right, she alleged he was a white supremacist who saw her as inferior so she sent him to "one of his" (a white lawyer).

She also on that tape said that opposition to Obamacare was "racist" and that nothing like this dissent happened for 8 years when Bush was president.

How do they know that they are the couple referenced by Ms. Sherrod's racist rant?

What'd she do, confess her transgression to them?
