Waiting for the “breeze” later today and over the weekend. The rain that could be produced from the storm is much needed in Central Florida. (Just east of you)

It’s a rather small storm, moving at a pretty quick pace. Could be a lot worse than it is.

Red skies at night, sailor’s delight. Red skies at morn, sailors take warn.

I love weather ditties.

"Glad to hear the pros aren’t expecting the storm to bomb within a day."

...and that surprises me a bit, particularly given the favorable wind conditions in the gulf and the bath-water temps. I suppose we have the fast forward motion of the storm to thank for that -- it may get to Louisiana before it can really get organized enough to do real harm.

...Center of Bonnie over Biscayne Bay...most of the weather already inland.

The tropical storm watch for the northern Gulf Coast from Destin Florida to Morgan City Louisiana...including Lake Pontchartrain...has been upgraded to a Tropical Storm Warning

Max sustained winds 40 mph. No important change in strength is forecast while Bonnie is crossing the Florida Peninsula. However...some slight strengthening is possible when the cyclone moves over the Gulf of Mexico late tonight and Saturday.

Forecast track - right over Mississippi Canyon.

Media’s going to have a field day. Good thing the well cap is holding up, otherwise this would get real messy.

My favorite part of the day

We had a 2 minute sun shower about an hour ago and it has since remained a beautiful sunny day

I think we've spit the hook on this one down here

I sure hope you get the rain. They just mowed out behind our shop and it smells like the bay.

We’ve had some rain and wind, mostly in waves, but nothing very exciting. Unfortunately we are going to have to drive south to Weston in awhile, hope it’s not worse that way! :)

We've had a nice slow, steady rain most of the afternoon around Tampa Bay, keeping the temp down around 78ºF. No wind. So far, Bonnie has been great!

Bonnie has been downgraded to a tropical depression. Tropical Storm warning still in effect from Destin FL to Morgan City Louisiana, including Lake Pontchartrain.

Yes, we got a nice rain, not much of anything to get too excited about. It would have been nice if we hadn’t had to drive south, but even then we hit a few bands of heavy rain, but nothing bad. :)
