IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
July 15, 2010
Mr. RANGEL introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Armed Services.
A BILL
To require all persons in the United States between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform national service, either as a member of the uniformed services or in civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, to authorize the induction of persons in the uniformed services during wartime to meet end-strength requirements of the uniformed services, and for other purposes.

IMHO, the point is that Obama, Rangel, and most of the Dems are interested in having as large a government as possible. They can only create so many new agencies, and those can only employ a limited number of people. So, in an effort to grow the government and INCREASE people's dependence on the Federal government, they want to “employ” those between 18 and 42 in order to cement their power and ensure the continuation of the Democrat ruling class. To quote George Bernard Shaw, “the government who robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend upon the support of Paul.”
That, or I'm just delusional.
Methinks a lot of “patriotic” Americans would become “snipers” overnight.
This. Is. Slavery.
Rest assured that Rangel wants the restoration of the active draft now for similar reasons. The military has made no request for it, so the grandstanding Rangel is seizing the opportunity for himself. What he really wants, consistent with his bean counting mentality, is a larger percentage of whites - and a smaller percentage of minorities - in a military he doesn't have much regard for anyway.
Good try, but no dice. And i didn’t say all. But if someone had of refused, yes, they would have probably been imprisoned or killed. Imprisoned in America or at dockside in england,,,shot dead for refusing to leave a landing craft.
And the point, is exactly WHO gets to decide. A draft is slavery,, whether you like it or not. The government refuses to pay what the free market would easily demand for a man to risk his life,,, and so demands that he do it for a pittance, under pain of prison.
A draft is *nothing more* than the government’s refusal to pay underwater welder wages to the men in those landing craft.
Pretty much. The Military swears an oath to uphold the Constitution.
The NATional Civilian Community Corps (The NAT C's) will swear an oath of personal fealty to Obama.
Think of all the free labor for the ruling fat cats to use at will. (I hope they use plenty of them to polish up the public restrooms.) lol
Yeah, it’s their standard modus operandi and I’m sure people could get “service” credit by serving in Acorn too.
Forcing people to serve is slavery.
I guess Rangel is all for that now.
Refuse to serve, and they pull your obamacare out from under you. You die sooner and they take your estate for your debt to their brave new society. And they harvest your organs too.
Next!
This is the creation of the civilan security forced just as well funded as the military and selected for ideological purity and fealty to the president to be able to successfully run a coupe de tat
Ah yes. How did the court describe that again? Shouting "FIRE!" in a crowded theater, wasn't it?
What is one supposed to do if the theater really is on fire???
That's what they said about obamacare. Everything we thought would never pass is passing.
And America is passing.
Face it; fight; or fold.
And ill be for a draft when it includes EVERYBOBY’S paycheck. No banker, government contractor, or government worker of any kind should make a dime more than an E-5. That should stay in force as long as a soldier serves against their will.
Or is it only soldiers that must listen to the Sousa tunes and rally to the flag?
It's coming.
Last night on the military channel, they had on “Hitlers Bogyguard”.
Hmmm.....
“Refuse to serve, and they pull your obamacare out from under you.”
Exactly, you nailed it. This generation has no idea how much power they have given up to this man.
ORLY?
BS
