Must be excerpted.
Surprising. Unexpected.
Recovery Summer.
Not going to get better anytime soon. This is also “unexpected”
Tell this to the rose-colored glasses wearing reporter for Forbes who wrote an article about how great the recovery really is. If you think Obamanomics is working, talk to someone who’s NOT.
I expected the unexpected but it was unexpected that unexpected was not mentioned. Now that really was unexpected.
You know, those in the “real” world are not surprised by the dreary economic numbers that come out daily. I am amused by administration officials and their cheerleaders in the media who constantly tell us, the working class, that things are getting better while all evidence points to the contrary. Forget the numbers for a minute and just look around your street and neighborhood. Are things getting better? No, they are getting worse - much worse.
Remember the bad ole days of 4.7% unemployment and monthly job gains under GWB? Remember Pelosi asking GWB “Where are the jobs Mr. President?” I do. So I ask Madame Speaker and The Won - “Where ARE the jobs?” Oh, I know. They are in your administration.
This is what I predicted last week when the artificially low report was released. There was some temporary statistical noise generated by the holiday and unemployment benefit suspension, and now it is gone. Up over 450k ... not unexpected at all.
Let's just change the name of Thursday to:
"Groundhog Day"
Unexpected Thursday
(Pleasant Valley Sunday - with apologies to the Monkees)
The White House Press Corps down the hall
Is trying hard to learn their song
Seranade the weak kneed Gibbs, who just came out to make them yawn
Another Unexpected Thursday!
Spilled Oil burning everywhere!
Rows of houses they’re all the foreclosed
And no one seems to care
See Mrs. O, she’s proud today because her roses are in bloom
Mr. O he’s so serene, He’s on TV in every room
Another Unexpected Thursday
Here in Unemployment land
The Press complains about how high it is
And the people just don’t understand
Creature comfort goals
They only numb my soul and make it hard for me to see
My thoughts all seem to stray, to places far away
I need a change of scenery
Ta Ta Ta...
Another Unexpected Thursday
Spilled Oil burning everywhere!
Another Unexpected Thursday
Here in Unemployment land
Another Unexpected Thursday...
I think business reporters have finally realized how ridiculous it is to use “unexpectedly” every time the business news is bad for the ‘rats.
since our unemployment benefits has turned into a welfare program, expect more of the same “unexpected” results!
This was unexpected (as always).
Better than the original, and unfortunately so very true.
Mmmmm Mmmmm MMMMM!
Next we will hear about the bread lines and how well run they are.
Now wait just a doggone minute! This is the summer of recovery; how dare you go printing some niggling little “factoid” that casts even a scintilla of doubt on the Great Obama’s economic dictates! Haven’t you been reading the proper sources for your news, like NYT?
How is that hope and change working out for you?
Right on cue.
The stock futures hardly budged and indicate a positive market open, so investors see the jobless claims number as "expected."
