The 13 million dollar settlement was awarded to the farming cooperative that Sherrod was a part of. She got about $150,000 of that amount. I’m also pretty sure she and the other rural Georgia farmers would have preferred to have their farming cooperative treated fairly by the state and federal government.

The farming cooperative disbanded over 20 years ago.
Where did the money go?
And was the cooperative really mistreated on the basis of race, or was it simply subject to the same “loving care” everybody gets at the hands of government agency apparatchiks?
White farmers can’t sue for mistreatment based on race.
Black farmers can.
Even when the mistreatment is applied regardless of race, as it is in so many of our byzantine bureaucracies.
How fair is that?
