f any large publication stands to suffer from the JournoList controversy, its the Washington Post. The paper hired JournoList founder Ezra Klein from the left-wing publication The American Prospect, and Klein continued to run JournoList while at the Post. In June, the paper quickly accepted the resignation of David Weigel, whom it hired from the left-wing publication The Washington Independent, over comments made on JournoList. (Klein announced he was shutting down the list-serv shortly thereafter.) It is not known whether other Post writers, some of whom also came to the paper from left-wing publications, took part in JournoList; I have asked a couple, and they havent yet responded.
Now, courtesy of the Daily Caller, weve had a peek inside the discussions on JournoList, and it reveals some writers and staffers at left-wing publications like the Nation, as well as ostensibly mainstream outlets like NPR and Bloomberg, making intemperate remarks about conservatives, advocating that some conservatives be arbitrarily branded as racists, drawing parallels between Tea Partiers and Nazis, and appealing to fellow journalists on the list-serv to ignore the controversy over then-candidate Barack Obama and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

What's good for the goose, is great fro the gander, WaPo.
WAPO needs to stick with what the know - MACACA.
All the news that’s FIT to print.
WAPO knows Zer0.
I still want to unravel the mystery of how the content of the text from the list wound up in the hands of Tucker Carlson. It was Andrew Breitbart who offered up the $100,000 for access to the Journolist.
Are we surprised about the silence??
The Pravda Media was silent over the Climategate memos and they were silent for 3 days on the forging of the Bush “National Guard memos”.
They should be giving us who, what, when, etc. I would really like to know if there is anything about the BC or his meager past history. Leak some of the posts/emails. We need a good scandal at this point to really put a dent in the credibility(snort) of the LSM right before the elections.
I don't know. It's this generation's version of Deep Throat.
I suspect, although I could be all wet, it probably came from a journalist who became disenchanted with the coverage of Obama over the last 2 years - from campaign to presidency.
NRO wants Carlson to release all the emails, right now. In principle, I agree with that. But, I also understand that Carlson wants to drive traffic to his site, and the longer he can milk it, the better.
Conservatives need a counter point to HuffPo, which makes money hand-over-fist. If this helps the Daily Caller, so be it.
Brietbart said he was out bid for it...so the assumption is Carlson paid someone. Andrew had originally offered 100K for a list. AB mentioned this on Hugh Hewitt though at the time all he would was its big news and as big as anything he had seen and that a competitor had out bib him for the list
good spelling eh...I’d think I’d been drinking...well I have
Oh, I did not know that. Scratch my comments about someone acting in the interest of earnest and fair journalism.
The anticipation is building waiting for the other shoe to drop. ie the whole list. This is definitely a “need more popcorn” story.

If you post to the above-referenced thread, I’ll ping you when I update the list. The next update will include the organizations for which these “journalists” work.
I'm as surprised by the silence as I am by the bias... (not at all)
I do not get the sense that the Post is so much interested in their own staff's practices and abuses as it is concerned about validating the "extreme, right-wing" complaint that they exist in the first place. That's part of the problem.
They’re too busy exposing our Nations security infrastructure.
"All the news that fits, we print?"

They will do everything they can to bury this. We must do everything we can to bring it to the public forefront.
They have the advantage, but truth has a way of percolating to the top.
Its gonna be real fun to answer every left-wing article with, “So, you must be on JournoList”. Can’t wait.
