CHICAGO Rod Blagojevich says the prosecution in his corruption trial proved that he did nothing wrong.
He spoke after his defense rested Wednesday without calling any witnesses including the ousted Illinois governor himself.
Blagojevich says the government showed "that I never took a corrupt dollar, not a corrupt dime, not a corrupt nickel, not a corrupt penny."

No, he just conspired to do so. He's up on charges for conspiracy to commit fraud and solicitation of bribery, not for actually succeeding at either crime.
It is hard to see how the feds would want to win this, since, conviction would reflect poorly on the leadership in the executive, their boss.
