She was smiles when I came in....it was raining and she watched me get wet on the way into the building. She was tired, as she hadn’t had any naps.

She had a visitor just about shower time, so her wounds were open to the air longer than normal. The wound care lady said they are looking good. Teresa said there is black all around, dead tissue, but she said they don’t seem intent on peeling it away. Which is fine by her as the pain is awful. She said they mixed the morphine with something before injecting it, then gave her 2 oxy somethings. She said the timing and combo was the first time the pain was kept at bay. So tomorrow she will ask what they did.

She met a new doctor and they are trying to figure out how she can go home and get the wound care she needs, each day. Before the hospital, she was taking herself to the wound care place 3 times a week...they want every day. Maybe the next couple days will bring a plan.

Thank you, Ma, for preparing the Canteen for today’s activities.

~ Today....Scattered thunderstorms, especially during the afternoon hours. A few storms may be severe. High 92F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

~ Tonight....Scattered thunderstorms early, then partly cloudy after midnight. A few storms may be severe early. Low 74F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%.

We had a nice bit of rain yesterday eve. Didn't cool things down much but it did water the lawn some.
