While I was traveling last week, I missed the spat that erupted between the Romney and Palin camps. Steve Kornacki reviews Romney’s track record competing against different women over the years, and he reasonably concludes that Romney comes off looking like a heel whenever he competes against a woman for political office. That seems fair enough, but what seems to have been lost in the discussion is that Romney defeated all of his women opponents. It is quite a leap from saying “Romney treats women opponents badly and wins every time” to saying “Romney cannot possibly defeat Palin,” but somehow Andrew gets there.
Of course, Kornacki acknowledges that Romney is undefeated against women, but thinks that the way that Romney defeated all of his rivals in the past could cost him in a presidential campaign. It could be that Romney treats Palin roughly and ends up looking so bad that he becomes radioactive to a huge majority of women voters in the fall, but what Romney’s record tells me is that he has no scruples about doing whatever is necessary to win a nomination or an election. There also seems to be the suggestion that it is Romney who is at a disadvantage in any intra-Republican contest in which gender becomes a significant issue. That is an odd thing to assume. Palin’s “Mama Grizzly” routine works well enough when the perceived attackers are coming from outside the GOP, but my guess is that it will fall flat and will come across as mere whining when she uses it to fend off Republican rivals.

There’s never been a woman candidate like Palin before. No one even comes close. It doesn’t matter, He couldn’t even beat McCain. I believe that politically,this is going to be the year of the woman.
Myth might actually do OK in the general as he’s bland and directionless enough to appeal to the mushy middle. Problem for him is he’s too much of a squish to make it out of the primaries, especiallly after Juan in ‘08.

Why is this even being discussed? Romney had his shot and lost. I don’t understand how the Romney bots—RINOs to the core—think the man can live down Maine’s Romneycare. Why anyone of sound mind would vote for a man who’s healthcare is the mirror image of Onadacare and is failing—in all the ways that Onadacare has been predicted to fail?

To paraphrase Scrooge: He wears the chains he forged as governor of the second most Marxist state in the country. The chain is way too heavy to outrun. Heck, Palin could beat him in the 50 yd dash wearing 6” spikes with Romney in sneakers.

I’ve never seen this stuff before. The man is delusional. Obviously he thinks his good looks and family pedigree count for everything. I suspect he employs a lot of sycophants around him to stroke his ego.

Romney is also incredibly awkward when speaking to blacks and about race. He really would insure Obama’s re-election. Palin is the one, I think, who can stop that. But yes, she’s got to be careful not to get caught playing the gender card at the wrong time as well.
Besides, Palin would look better in 6” spikes than Romney would ever look in sneakers.

Governor Sarah Palin has energized the center-right moderate and the conservative majority that has been silent for too long. The far left liberal/progressives only represent 20 percent of the U.S. population, but they have most of the legacy media, TV stations, magazines, Hollywood and newspapers pushing their agenda. Thanks to talk radio, FOX News and the Internet, the other 80 percent has a voice, and Governor Sarah Palin has them riled up and speaking out against the liberal agenda of larger government, out-of- control spending, the deterioration of family values and our worldwide respect. The entire world is laughing at our far left, liberal, government stupidity.
As for a comparison of Sarah Palin and Obama; Palin knows the meaning of logic and commonsense, Obama hasn’t a clue.
Vote to make sure the majority center/right moderates and conservatives take back control of Congress this November, and hopefully, before the far left has destroyed the American way.
Forget common sense. It is uncommon. Let’s stick to constitutionalism.
Romney doesn't always beat female opponents. He lost to McCain who isn't much of a man. As for Romney v. Palin, he's never faced a woman as strong and charismatic as her. Palin may have my vote (may because I would love to find someone even better). Romney will not get my vote - he's a pro-ObamaCare RINO who proved in 2008 that he's a lackluster campaigner. I'll write in Palin, or possibly even Reagan, if it's a choice between Romney and Obama (symbolic, since the socialists will carry my state, but I'll still do it because symbols matter).
