At least 175 people have died in the coldest winter in South America in recent years, officials in six affected countries said...
The cold was worst in southern Peru, where temperatures in higher altitudes of the Andes dropped to minus 23 degrees Celsius. Officials said Monday that since the beginning of last week 112 people died of hypothermia and flu.
Argentina measured the coldest temperatures in 10 years. Sixteen people froze to death and...
In Bolivia, 18 people died, in Paraguay five and two each in Chile and Uruguay. Nine people died of the cold in southern Brazil.
Thousands of cattle also froze to death on their pastures in Paraguay and Brazil. There are no stables for the animals as temperatures usually do not drop that low.

Apparently another of the consequences of Global Warming.
Ask Algore.
I’m sure he can find some way to torture these facts into Global Warming.
We are having a heat wave and they are having a cold snap! Must be global warming!
But then, maybe it is just summer here and winter there!
It’s this darn global warming that’s causing global cooling.
I have said for a long time that if some people think their weather is unusually warmer, some one else, somewhere is thinking theirs is cooler. I suspect the same is true for wet and dry conditions.
The “temperature readings” that dominate the ground temperature data (in global climate models) are predominately northern hemisphere ground temperature data points because the northern hemisphere is 2/3 land while the southern hemisphere is 2/3 water.
Could it just be, if that was accurately accounted for, that we have a “warming” northern hemisphere and a “cooling” southern hemisphere, as opposed to a warming “earth”.
My Gawd, it’s summer and they’re freezing to death!! Global climate change, or maybe the world is upside down!

We’re talking two miles-plus above sea level. It’s amazing it isn’t always -23 at that altitude.
When will the libs ban us from talking about the weather? ;-)
Tell me it has been cold! Here in the high mountains of chile I have had to use straight Saucer “Green” (-10 c and colder) and Saucer “Blue Noise” to get my skis to run!
Ummm...maybe things have changed in the last few months but isn't influenza caused by a virus?

RIP.
Over 425,000 Americans last year died from vending machines falling on them and heart attacks.
