She was done wrong. An objective viewing of this clip will not allow an interpretation of racism on her part. Ugly business.

I’ll say this for her: her story is the most plausible one I’ve heard from any of these leftists caught on tape. I’m sorry to say that I don’t really care though. As long as the media filters talk radio through Media Matters, I think turnabout is fair play. However, I don’t doubt for a minute that if the rest of that tape were uncovered, and she was found to be telling the truth about the context, that Andrew Breitbart would make a full and public apology to this woman. We’ll never see that from Media Matters.

Geez! What a worthless POS! Get caught red handed and then comes the obligatory FOX News slam. Must be the MO of the media to stay away from certain stories, until after FOX airs them, to allow the “disenfranchised” scumbag to assault the messenger with the full support of their MSM friends.

The funny thing is she also slammed the AJC. I didn’t know that Murdoch bought that worthless fish wrap./sarc

Maybe she’d like to talk about the $13 million she was awarded in a discrimination suit by the DOJ just days before she was appointed to her position.

the two-minute, 38-second video posted online Monday by biggovernment.com and reported on by FoxNews.com and the AJC

Oooh, but in a interview with the AJC, it's only the big bad Fox that treated her badly:

For Fox to take a spin on this like they have done

Predictable.

IF the MSM reports on a story, it’s only AFTER they’ve been given a line on which to hang a defense. It lets them still spin themselves as objective reporters but keep their obvious bias intact.

And if she felt she was right, why did she resign? Any good little NAACP jackbooter would’ve dug in and held her position.

From the article: "There were some white people there. The mayor (of Douglas) was there," Sherrod recalled. "Why would I do something racist if they were there?"

So, she's making the argument that she knows when to be open and when to hold back? Next she'll say some of her best friends are white.

But Tuesday morning, Sherrod said what online viewers weren't told in reports posted throughout the day Monday was that the tale she told at the banquet happened 24 years ago -- before she got the USDA job -- when she worked with the Georgia field office for the Federation of Southern Cooperative/Land Assistance Fund.

All the more reason to fire her racist ass. Dredging up a 24 year old event to play to her racist NAACP audience is a lapse in judgement that should be met with termination.

Sherrod, 62, insisted her statements in the video were not racist.

It never ceases to amaze me how so many blacks can say these kinds of things with a straight face and not seriously believe in their hearts that they can possibly be racist.

If this was a whitey, saying the same things about black farmers, it would be rightfully blasted as being Jim Crow all over again.

What's to misconstrue? You said that you failed to fulfill your constitutional oath of office, you withheld services to a citizen because of his skin color, and you fobbed him off on a private attorney who was "one of his own kind."

You said it, Sherrod, we didn't. There's nothing to construe there, you admitted publicly, to a friendly audience, to engaging in blatantly racist behavior.

Sherrod said the short video clip excluded the breadth of the story about how she eventually worked with the man over a two-year period to help ward off foreclosure of his farm, and how she eventually became friends with the farmer and his wife.

"And I went on to work with many more white farmers," she said. "The story helped me realize that race is not the issue, it's about the people who have and the people who don't. When I speak to groups, I try to speak about getting beyond the issue of race."

You know, this does sound like an opportunity to show a growth and learning process rather than just another slam against ignorance.

And if it did indeed happen 24 years ago, then it's completely misleading and inappropriate for Fix/AJC/Breitbart to not mention that.

Refused to help a farmer because he was white and uppity? Gee, I'd love to hear how that wasn't racist.

"They were just looking at what the Tea Party and what Fox said, and thought it was too (politically) dangerous for them," she said of the agriculture department.

Yeah, Barry-O's USDA is completely under the thumb of the Fox Tea Party.
