Legislators Appeal To Constitutional Court To Stop U.S Warships From Entering Costa Rican Waters

The decision authorizing the patrol of Costa Rican waters by U.S. warships is being contested by a group of legislators, headed by Gloria Bejarano, who filed an action of unconstitutionality with the Sala Constitucional (Costa Rica's constitutional court).

The legislators believe the authorization that was voted on and granted last week for the entry of 46 naval warships, 200 helicopters, war planes and 7.000 Marines as confirmed by the president of the Legislative Assembly, Gerardo Villanueva, violates Costa Rica's Political Constitution.

Where is the MSM on this issue? Their silence itself is a form of "news" of an ideological kind. (Yet one more redefinition, following the redefinition of the word "black".)

We spend taxpayer funds to do the exact thing in Costa Rica that taxpayer funds are being spent on to prevent Arizona to do, which is to protect its border with Mexico against an invasion of drug couriers.

Costa Rica has no standing military because they want to be an example to the world of a peaceful nation.... Of course thugs and criminals are going to go where their is least resistance. Now we are paying for it.

46 warships?

I think that’s a clue to why there’s no news on the issue.

46 warships? 200 aircraft? 7000 Marines? Okay, what the heck presents that big a threat in Costa Rica?! Iran is a MUCH bigger threat!! Venezuela is a much bigger threat! North Korea in a much bigger threat! Heck, our border with Mexico is a MUCH bigger and more imminent threat!!!

Isn’t this a bit of, shall we say, OVERKILL!?! What’s the mission? What’s the point? Good grief!

The UhBama regime is filing suit against Arizona to stop that state from taking measures to reduce drug trafficing. That problem was one of the supporting reasons for passing that state’s new law on illegal immigrants.
