Biden: GOP forced undersized stimulus By: Kendra Marr July 18, 2010 09:04 AM EDT

Vice President Joe Biden said that the Recovery Act was undersized because the White House shrunk the economic stimulus package to win Republican votes in Congress to pass it.

“I think it would have been bigger,” he told ABC’s Jake Tapper in an interview airing Sunday. “In fact, what we offered was slightly bigger than that.”

In the end, the administration found three Republican votes to pass the Recovery Act. And, while “a lot” of administration officials believe the emergency spending was too small, Biden said that more than 3 million people are now working because of the federal programs.

“The argument's gone from losing jobs to are we creating them fast enough, not whether we're creating them,” he said. “And nothing is fast enough till you get these people back to work.”

...Classic liberalism - the response to failure of a program is to claim it wasn’t big enough.

Wait a minute, I read/heard that they haven’t even wasted, I mean spent 45% of the stimulus that was pasted yet. What are they waiting for? Oh yeah, it’s a slush fund for the idiots to use during the Nov elections to keep their sorry a$$ in office.

If ever the term, “Despicable Fool”, applied to anyone, it has to be Plugs Biden. He reminds me of the dirty police chief in Godfather.

Why the HELL they don’t want to use this for unemployment extensions sickens me. I know it’s because that’ll help people more fairly than going only to their wall street/bank/union/dem supporters.

Spending a trillion dollars was inadaquate. Now we know why Biden was known as the stupidest man in the Senate.

This clown would prefer that we spend every last dime in the treasury and then have us borrow even more.

WV Gov. appointed a guy who promised not to run for the seat. He put the stooge in place so the dems could vote for expanded unemployment without paying. More debt, more debt more debt.

Sure, we can point out that economies always recover, so the question was NEVER whether jobs were being created this year.

But why take our word for it — the Obama Administration told us exactly what would happen if we didn’t pass a stimulus package, and it showed that people would be getting jobs this year.

And in fact, the Obama administration’s prediction was actually better than what we are experiencing.
