Debate Watching Party in Tucson!
Pima County GOP Debate Watching Party at O'Malley's Back Room in Tucson
Republicans are holding up middle class tax cuts on Meet the Depressed.
There's a difference between HATE and giving a PASS. Like you, I respect McCain for what he went through and God bless him for his service. That being said, there are plenty of other POWs around who went through similar experiences, but that doesn't mean they're qualified to be legislating> The fact is McCain has traded on his service record to get himself elected by conservatives, and has promptly stabbed them in the back when the chips were down. He supports amnesty, he supported bailouts by taking off from the campaign to vote the bailout, and he DEFENDED 0bama during his presidential campaign. In short, a lot of the blame for the elevation of the Kenyan/Marxist / organizer to the position of leader of the free world, can be laid at the feet of John McCain. I won't even get into how he repeatedly cut the legs out from any other conservative who dared criticize 'The 0ne' during the campaign.
McCain, thank you for your service, now PLEASE RETIRE and take your daughter with you.
I really do admire the devotion here for JD Hayworth, I’m just not sure it’s enough.
How did he lose his congressional seat? I haven’t seen that explained. It’s the thing that makes me wonder if he has enough support in Arizona to oust McCain.
I’ve been suspicious of Deakin from the start.
An arranged candidate to split the vote so McCain can win?????

I attended a conference shortly after that election, and I met a teacher from AZ. She told me flatly that the election was stolen from JD.
I think if immigration continues to be at the forefront, JD can hammer Juan repeatedly on that issue.
I can just see the McMaverick going all Spectrey/Liebermanie and going Dem or Indie if when JD wins the primary.
:) Have a great day!
You were smart, and I had read how other people had suspicions too. I just kind of blew him off as of no consequence (and saw him a tea party and he wasn’t friendly or anything, really strange), but yep, looking like that vote-splitter... ughhhhhhh
I’ll trade your Patty Murray for my Boxer and Feinstein... you get a two-fer!
The district involved was Tempe, which is where the university is located. There was a lot of talk at the time about out-of-state residents being allowed to vote. (Lots of California kids come over here to attend ASU.) I don't know what ever came of that, or if there was actually evidence of tampering.
Bush wanted the bailout, supported amnesty and signed campaign finance legislation.
I have lots of issues with both of them. I just think JD is the wrong man to try and take McCain on. He isn't going to beat him. Someone with a real fiscal conservative record could. Someone like Jeff Flake.
As much as we all hated it when McCain would criticize Bush about the war in Iraq, turns out he was right. He was talking about a surge a long time before Bush was.
What a deal!! How about we trade Murray and Can’t do Well. plus the marxist Mcdermott... For Einstein and Boxed in!!!
Ya know that is a Pretty good Idea though.. If you vote someone in and don’t like them you get to trade them for a better player... How about that Obama trip up to Maine whith First Dog going on separate A/V??
thanks for the explanation of how JD lost.
Don’t get me wrong, I would enjoy seeing JD win, I just have to deal with the reality of him having enough state-wide support out there to oust McCain.
Rick Santorum lost an election here in PA to a man who is still barely aware of his own existence, so I wish JD well.
thanks, ponygirl.
I’m always dubious of college towns and their voting habits.
As the mother of a college student, he could have voted in two places without anyone knowing. It’s always concerned me.
Good description! LOL! I wish JD well, too!
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL just during re-election time about every six years or so.
OUCH!!!!!!!!
Well I guess you dont mind getting played. He’s been a demorat for years.
