“It’s my prayer that Deakin is as dead in politics as Huckleberry is.”

While he should be (MH), it’s increasingly obvious he’s planning on running again in ‘12. No good can come of that, just as before.

If you are not for McCain, you would support his defeat by JD Hayworth.

But I do think if I lived in AZ I would have to pull the lever for McCain.

So, you're on board for a pathway to citizenship for all illegals in the US, pro Cap and Trade, oppose closing Gitmo, consider all enhanced interrogation to be torture, you oppose tax cuts that for the wealthy that stimulate the economy, and you oppose real border security. Or, maybe you think McCain really means it?

I know you are thoughtful, issues oriented person.

Sorry you feel that way, and just as glad you don't live here. Not trying to be mean, just putting it out there.

I live within 20 miles of the border and deal with the effects of illegal immigration on a nearly daily basis. John McCain is dead wrong on the issue, and IMO deserves to lose his seat in the Senate.

A lot of the stuff you point out was also supported by Bush.

I just can’t bring myself to hate McCain. After all he went thru in his service to this country, the man will get a pass from me until he becomes a democrat.

Well, I’m not surprised, since Deakin seemed interested in attacking JD.

It would be nice if Deakin ends up taking votes from McCain

“I just can’t bring myself to hate McCain. After all he went thru in his service to this country, the man will get a pass from me until he becomes a democrat.”

So we will have to forgive the damage he has done since his time of service as a POW? No way. This is the guy who postponed his campaign rushing back to DC to vote for a bank bailout. This is the guy who supports amnesty for illegals. Basically, this is the guy who played a major role in putting us where we are today, on the border of bankruptcy.

McCain may have an “R” behind his label, but in his heart, he is a socialist liberal of the third degree.

If you recall, he told us America would be okay under the helm of Obamarxist. He told us we had nothing to fear from his Presidency. And this is the guy you hold dear to your heart for his past service? Son, you need your antenna adjusted.

I think that's why voters in his state keep him in office, but you do NOT have to HATE him to see the many valid reasons for retiring him.

McCain/Feingold, which SCOTUS ruled UNCONSTITUTIONAL, TARP; his recent change on amnesty and the border (which does he actually believe and which will he fight for?) closing GITMO; and I'm just citing four.

Then there's this: why is he entitled to a FOURTH TERM IN THE US SENATE?

Re-elect nobody, with scant few exceptions!

Retire incumbent fossils. By its very nature, incumbency breeds corruption.

Nope, not a lot. Bush only agreed with the immigration issues.

I just can’t bring myself to hate McCain. After all he went thru in his service to this country, the man will get a pass from me until he becomes a democrat.

Which should absolutely nothing to do with who someone votes for. McCain is a shameless liar, but that doesn't seem to bother you. And he's not the only one who's gone through something serving this country. If he deserves a senate seat, what do you have for the other almost 600 Vietnam POWs?

I keep seeing your posts pop up. pity is not a reason to vote for anyone. and neither are things they did in the past. we are electing someone who will represent our values today in the senate.....and mccain will not. it’s really that simple.
