We are probably the second warmest since (perhaps) the end of the LIA. There were warmer years in the U.S. in the 30's but I'm not sure if that extended worldwide. The warmest year still remains the 1998 El Nino, but we got close in this year's El Nino.

I’m here in the Mo. Ozarks, crip, and I clearly recall many a summer with no rain and temps in the 100’s for weeks on end.
We’ve had some nice mild summers lately, but this one is shaping up to a real mutha...wet and HOT!= mucho humidity.
We’re dying here! (to paraphrase Carville) ; )

Apparently they didn’t learn from Climategate.

Yep.
Can't say as I
personally remember it but it was very hot here in
1936

Still, I am skeptical of the “Data” they are gathering. The obvious upper trend could easily be them strategically messing with the location of sensors and data to support their scam.

These prix are going to lie. We know this, and we have to prepare for it. The thing is we have to do a better job of getting proof out into the open. We have to fight the MSM on this, but we are winning in that case. The more people to get involved with just exposing the Truth, the more the hardcore liars will sink regardless of them caring about the truth.
If everyone on FR took a story and revealed it, viralcated it to another source, we would be so far ahead of their game there's no way they could keep up their lies.
Are you going to sit on your ass all day just reading this stuff, maybe commenting here or there, or will you become a Truth Mover?

Baloney. Morano is only an expert in spreading disinformation.
Heat wave records are being set in China and India.
China Heat Wave Sends Temperatures to Six-Decade High, Kills 2
"Temperatures in Beijing exceeded 40 degrees yesterday for the third time in July since the city began keeping records, the weather agency said. The city posted a high of 41.9 degrees in July 1999 and 41.1 degrees in July 2002, it said."
Hundreds die in Indian heatwave
"Record temperatures in northern India have claimed hundreds of lives in what is believed to be the hottest summer in the country since records began in the late 1800s."
Is everybody faking heatwaves this Northern Hemisphere summer????

At least the satellites (the plot posted above) make an even worldwide measurement (except very high and low latitudes). The biggest problem with Hansen’s junk is that the stations are unevenly placed and some end up heavily weighted when they should not be or are in fact biased.

The funny thing is that in that very hot year I believe some of the greatest snowfalls fell on the upper Peninsula. I used to have a photo of the big snow guage near Ontonagon showing a record of more than 36 feet in that same year.

The obvious:
Gulf oil contamination.
World in peril due to global warming.
Marxist determination to pass some form of carbon tax.
Jeez...wonder if it is just a coincidence that we are now going to be deluged with global warming “news”.
To: RogerFGay
Yeah, it’s summertime, it’s hot. Just deal with it.

The enviroloony crowd is trying to salvage its “global warming/climate change” hoax and scam. Without government grants, those clowns are out of a job. They have to keep their moneymaker alive. There are no other jobs out there.

Well, if we’re going to base our conclusions on anecdotal evidence, it has been the coldest first half of the year in the Pacific Northwest for a long time.
