Unless it's overturned by the state Supreme Court, Missourians will vote Aug. 3 on a proposed state law challenging parts of the federal health care law.
Cole County Circuit Judge Paul Wilson on Friday evening dismissed a lawsuit filed June 17 by Jefferson City lawyer Charles "Chip" Gentry, ruling that Gentry "failed to establish any" of the constitutional challenges he had raised.
Gentry had asked the court to block the public's Aug. 3 vote on what supporters call "the Health Care Freedom Act," arguing that lawmakers violated the state's Constitution by putting two very different issues into the same proposal.

Good to hear!
The local media is still pushing the “Fed. law trumps state law” when reporting on the issue, however. Stating numerous times that our vote won’t matter. This is the mantra we have to knock down!
Arrrgggh.
GO FREEDOM
Send the commie back home....
Now let’s really think about this for a second. We allow our representatives to FORCE legislation on us that they themselves do not have to abide by. What in hades is wrong with us? They are the representatives, we have to hold them accountable. I just don’t see how all this hasn’t come crashing down yet with the obvious unconstitutionality of it all!
Several central MO Tea Party groups are having a “Rolling Rally” for Prop C, next Saturday 7/24. We’ll be joining other tea party groups to rally for the Health Care Freedom Act that’s on the ballot for August 2nd.
First, we’ll meet up in Paris, Missouri and join the Monroe County 9/12 patriots at 11:00 am. We’ll rally there for an hour and then load up and drive to Mexico, Missouri. We will rally there from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, then we’ll head on over to Fulton, Missouri and rally there from 2:00 to 3:00 pm and finally we will head over to Columbia and rally there from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
Missourians - join this rally if you’re in the area, or START YOUR OWN for your area of MO! “Yes on Prop C” signs should be available at your local Repub offices. The rest of the US will be watching these ballots come in, as many other states are poised to put the same legislation on their ballots. Let’s ROLL!!
