Scott Brown, with some justification, makes frequent claims to bipartisanship. But as the Republican senator from Massachusetts prepared to cast another vote next week against an extension of benefits for jobless Americans, he expressed frustration. Democrats, he said, never gave his alternative plan to extend benefits a serious look.
Why is it that Im always the one that has to vote with the Democrats? Brown lamented. Bipartisanship is a two-way street, you know? Why cant they also work together to pay for these things within the budget, within the monies that we already have? Why is it that we always have to add to the deficit?
Browns unemployment plan which calls for diverting $35 billion in stimulus money to pay for benefits for the long-term jobless and several other items has attracted little support, even from Republicans.

If Scott Brown wants to get any serious consideration for his ideas, then he needs to stop being the 60th vote and instead be the 41st vote.

Why cant they also work together to pay for these things within the budget, within the monies that we already have? Well, let's see...1)Kinda hard to stay within the budget, WHEN YOU HAVE NO BUDGET! 2)Kinda hard to use the monies you already have, WHEN YOU HAVE NO MONEY!
They're playing you Scotty....and you keep letting them.

Good grief this Masshole is a moron of biblical proportion. Exactly how long has this idiot been a politician? Anybody who has been paying attention and has an ounce of sense, knows that “bipartisanship” with the Demonrats means you agree with them. Period.
Pathetic... the GOP is filled with gutless, clueless morons.

Doesn’t he understand what ‘bipartisanship’ means?

Brown reminds me of that Blackadder episode where Baldrick gets elected to parliament. Quotes the opposition leader, “You lost the vote. Your monkey obligingly voted for us.”

You don't, Scott.
Who told you that you did? John McCain?
You are under no obligation to give the destruction of our country and our economy "bipartisan" cover.
So stop doing it already. You've helped the Democrats do enough irreparable harm.

Brown is pretty much a man of his word. I’m a little bit surprised when FReepers call Brown a “RINO” as though they’re shocked and surprised about it or as though he were a sellout, because it was pretty much known (by those who knew of him) that he would be a RINO before he was elected. It was certainly known very shortly after he was elected. He SAID what he was going to do— be a RINO. There were FReepers here shouting “Brown for POTUS.” It’s like buying a new car: Investigate before you invest. Brown was the best of the available candidates, but far from perfect.
