Tonight, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will debate his primary challengers, former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ) and conservative "tea party" activist Jim Deakin in one of only two Republican primary debates.
During the one hour debate, Hayworth will likely concentrate on McCain's 28 years in Congress with a focus on his position on immigration. Deakin said he will compare and contrast his approach in representing constituents to the "other two entrenched politicians." A McCain campaign spokesman said that the Senator "looks forward to a spirited discussion on the issues facing Arizonans."
The LIVE debate will take place tonight at KTVK-TV in Phoenix, Arizona.

Secure the border is a canard.
It sounds good, but with definition of what 'secure' means, it is meaningless.
Case in point: the car bomb at the El Paso-Juarez bridge, which, so far, has gone unresponded to by the current Admin and politicians.

It’s quite a good format. We’re learning more this way about the people talking.

ditto that ...Ive screamed it from the rooftops.....earmarks at best get money away from Washington And, earmarks fund some great project that enable communities to do things they could never finance, and projects that benefit everyone, including taxpayers. They just need to eliminate the wasteful stuff, and the stuff that is mostly monuments to some rep or senator.

I concur! I think JD is taking MC to the woodshed with FACTS and exposing him for a liar and old fossil incumbent that needs to be retired.
Arizona’s snarlin Arlen.

Deakin sounds more conservative than McCain does.
Deakin’s Dem cohorts will not be happy about many of the things he has said and his allegations against the current Admin.
lol.

McCain was at our church last week. Check out the video when you get a chance. http://evbc.org/Media.aspx?MID=1037
McCain came off as charismatic and at some times funny however most of the feedback after the event was negative towards McCain.
JD is scheduled to be at our church next Friday.
