Tonight, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will debate his primary challengers, former Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-AZ) and conservative "tea party" activist Jim Deakin in one of only two Republican primary debates.
During the one hour debate, Hayworth will likely concentrate on McCain's 28 years in Congress with a focus on his position on immigration. Deakin said he will compare and contrast his approach in representing constituents to the "other two entrenched politicians." A McCain campaign spokesman said that the Senator "looks forward to a spirited discussion on the issues facing Arizonans."
The LIVE debate will take place tonight at KTVK-TV in Phoenix, Arizona.

Believe it or not, liberals on another board said I was WAY too harsh on McCain during the 2008 election. LOL. I haven’t liked this fool since he grabbed the knife in 2000 and started stabbing GWB (and conservatives) in the back- repeatedly for 8 years.

I started disliking him during the Keating 5 scandal. I was on an accounting team going through the records of Charlie Keating. Then he and Kerry held hearings on the MIAs from Viet Nam. I had a friend who was the wife of one of the POW/MIAs. McCain told her “Your husband is dead, get over it” with a really nasty tone to his voice. I have literally LOATHED him ever since.

He had never been a favorite of mine, but when he did that to Bush, the Party, and the rank and file, it was the last straw for me too.
I’m not a big Bush fan, but when he didn’t something right he didn’t deserve to have McCain trash him on the Sunday shows. I was furious with McCain back then, and it hasn’t changed much.
Perhaps it’s because he claims to be on our side, but Jane Fonda is the only person I loathe more than McCain.

And the 'pass' McCain gave Obama in the first few months was a few months longer than the one he gave GWB.

There’s no footage, he told her this in the hall when she tried to talk to him as he left the meeting. I wish there was footage. She was devestated. I wish she was still alive, she’d be great in a commercial.
