“the White House has named the Obamas’ personal Chicago cook as ‘Senior Policy Adviser for Healthy Food Initiatives,’”
Sounds very Third World.
What’s the big deal, really? Calligula made his horse a Senator.
There must be a whole lot of graft and payoffs going on for it to cost even a fraction of that. This goes way beyond pork.
this is the same potus who got tears in his eyes describing the WH pastry chef and his pie?
No wonder he disaapears for hours and days- probably has stashes of pie, ho-hos and booze all over the place - away from Michelle
Arlen Specter wanted that job.
So before the Bambi family became our spoiled, indulgent First Family, Moosechelle had the “audacity” (ironic) to complain about student loans for their affirmative action Ivy education, the cost of music lessons and other luxuries for her offspring, etc. And they lived in a mansion that they should not have been able to afford at the time, and now we hear they had a personal chef. Some animals ARE more equal than others.
How equally ironic that Moosechelle’s big cause is childhood obesity, yet she apparently doesn’t even cook. That’s for the hired hands.
What section of the Constitution again does it give the Federal government the right to dictate what I can and can not eat or consume...oh wait, they can dicatate that every American must buy health insurance.....if state’s have the right to or not to protect/enforce their borders....etc., etc. =.=
Apparently in addition to not passing a budget, the House has delegated their responsibility for appropriating money to the Executive Branch as well.
It’s going to take 8 years to dismantle this monster he’s creating in 4.
How long before Obama starts playing to the PETA crowd by forcing us to limit our meat intake and mandating the amount of vegtables we eat each meal. It’s coming rest assured.
I am stockpiling Mountain Dew for the day when it will be equal to it’s weight in gold.
Exactly what the Emperor of Rome did when things were going bad for him. He gave the people of Rome bread to keep them happy. Rome still fell, not because of food but because of a lack of leadership. Seems like we never learn from history.
Melody Barnes, Director of the President’s Domestic Policy Council.
MS. BARNES: “wonderful, healthy foods, but there are food deserts in rural areas, as well. What we want to do, and what the President included in his budget is an initiative to levuse public funds to leverage even larger private dollars to put the grocery stores in communities where they dont exist and also some really creative and innovative waysfor example, “MOBILE GROCERY STORES” - where youre moving those into communities where theres not a lot of population density but you want to make sure that people have access to those fresh fruits and vegetables.”

If they want people to eat more healthy foods, they could start by ending junk food bought using food stamps & welfare benefits. US Department of Agricultures Economic Research Service online research tool called the Food Environment Atlas. http://maps.ers.usda.gov/FoodAtlas/foodenv5.aspx Meanwhile - Food Stamp Use Soars Across U.S., and Stigma Fades (Feds want to enroll 16 million more people) http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2396100/posts
The good news is that, under Obama, America seems headed for a resurgence of the old “health food standby,” cigarettes and donuts.
Really? Which one? The U.S. Military or the Øbammy civilian force?
