Eighteen months in, the Obama presidency is in as dreadful shape as one can imagine. Hell almost certainly lose the House in the fall elections; and now its looking like he could lose the theoretically impregnable Democratic majority in the Senate. Whats more, he has, to an astonishing degree, been unable to communicate even the remotest sense of who he is to the nation: a middle-of-the-roader, by any estimation, and yet a majority of the country thinks hes a socialist.
In the summer before his election, Obama had a secret meeting with that dark master of realpolitik, Rupert Murdoch, who had become uncharacteristically smitten with the popular candidate. Murdoch had sought the meeting to impart a piece of advice: Knowing every President since Kennedy, what Murdoch had come to understand about American politics, he said, was how little time there was to get anything accomplished. In effect, said Murdoch to Obama, whatever a president does in his first 18 months in office is his legislative legacy.
SNIP
I suppose he thought he could, with grim determination, rally people behind this thick, opaque, and long-term stuff. He imagined himself to be Rooseveltnot understanding that FDRs ambition was packaged in the greatest charm.
This president doesnt make anybody feel good. Hes made America more anxious, weary, and depressed.
Not only is he obviously not having any fun, he rather looks like someone who has chosen to suffer.
We may actually have gotten our soulful liberal legislation, but weve lost the world.

That little tale is encouraging. Thank you.
“Are These the Last Days of Barack Obama?”
Every day during our devotions, we pray that that’s true. America has dissed God for so long, it makes sense that He would cause us to suffer with this dreadful person. To quote a hymn: “Oh, Lord Jesus, how long? How long?”
I think that clearing him and his effects out of the Augean stables will be a labor for a Hercules. Or several.
Not too hard a job for individuals empowered by the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.

You are absolutely correct, but I don’t yet see the signs of a revival. I may have spotted a Deborah.
Well, honestly, the stimulus DID create or save my job... I think it was bad for the economy, but it was very good for me.
Alinsky did say that the last thing a radical wants to do is succeed, because then they call you a founding father.
“that Obamas biggest problem is that he is very unlike-able”
We know he is cold, bloodless, aloof, and totally lacking any empathy - so why does he have a 49% personal favorability rating when none of his policies rank anywhere near that level of support ?
It has to be the Wilder effect - one can poll with disfavor the policies, but one has to give a minority guy a little extra affirmative action “personal-favorability” support. Don’t want to be called raaaaacist!
There is no reason to be nice or take pity on a guy who is trying to bury you.
I would say that what is being put into place IS unsustainable. There may be a heavy boot of coercion brought into play, but it’s not going to make stupid-ass socialist policies work. Eventually, the second amendment option will arrive. Right now, it can’t because we’re isolated.
I think Obama is finally starting to realize that the problem is within himself.
Getting the power solved nothing for him and he knows it
I will try to avoid the psych stuff but if you look at his life not only is there little there there .....but where are his friends ?...I dont think he has ever made any ...His wife is the only person is his life who has any history with him
I bet if you asked all the drones at the WH now about O they would say they dont really know who he is...He appears utterly hollow
I would learn how to do a cartwheel...
That’s when I quit reading, too. My time is too valuable.
Here’s what makes me nervous:
Some really radical lefty after the midterms blames him for all this loses it and decides to do something dumb. We really need to make sure that when the libs fail, it’s as soft a landing for the rest of America as we can make it.
They do not have a communications problem. What they have is a problem of fact. Their facts are really bad. There’s no amount of spin that is going to change the facts that the Obama administration is destroying this country.
In an America free of vote fraud, yes, Obama would be in trouble. In fact, he never could have been elected in the first place.
Not only does he not have any visible friends, but the people that he would most likely want to be close with, he has to keep his distance from, like Bill Ayres, Van Jones and Rev Wright, etc.
Excuse the preposition endings! Sometimes there is only one way to express ideas clearly. LOL!
You would be surprised how many Lib-Tards I know that still blame Bush and Republicans/Conservatives for obstructing 0bama and for "not giving him a chance". Republicans have to be conservative to win and can't fall back into the Rhino traps that got us this POTUS in the first place. There is still a lot to do.
Middle-of-the-roader my ass.
I stopped reading this drivel after the first line, when the author claimed Obama is a “middle of the roader.”
Horse$hit.
If I want to read fiction, I’ll pick up a novel.
Because he can ... he cares nothing for what the people want. He has an agenda, he is the front man for a power that put him in office, by creating this phenomenon of Obama the MESSIAH. A fake illusion. He has destroyed our government in this relatively short amount of time. It is OBVIOUS to all that are willing to look with clear eyes; and not with the mind set of having to government control their total lives, IE Russia, during Lenin, Stalin, etc, Cuba today, Chavez now, Mexico in truth, and most of Europe has descended into collapse.
God help us in our day, in Jesus name, amen.
I’m not, they are the hard core true believers in this cult. They have to be sterilized.
Nope. It was preordained - not by doG, but by nature, to be this way. Humanity cannot avoid entropy - without absolutely constant vigilance & effort, all social institutions begin to mutate and eventually collapse.
Think about it: at some point in the future, the USA was going to fail. Would it have been 500 years? 100 years? Or 5 years? What would be the precipitating cause(s)?
Really smart operators who know the basics of physics and have no specific allegiance to any place or culture have made fantastic fortunes playing this bet.
We can now see the results firsthand. But even the top dogs can misplay hands. Our only hope at this point is to allow the process to accelerate past the planned/controlled stage so that even the power-elite are caught by surprise.
It's what happened in 1776, and again in 1789. Let us hope the next time works out once again to the benefit of the People.
