With the release of the campaign finance material from Gov. Rick Perry, we find that Democratic challenger Bill White is leading in the cash on hand amount by almost $3 million.
Perry will report $5.8 million in cash, according to his campaign. White earlier today said he would report more than $9 million in the bank.

That’s what all of this campaign is about, getting Bill White statewide recognition. He launched his campaign for US Senate before he announced his run for governor.
We don’t know yet if Kay Bailey will seek re-election or not do we?
She’s said that she’s stepping down but she also said that she would be leaving office this year (she appears to be holding in awhile longer).
