A Texas day care center is facing a state probe over allegations it took a group of 6-year-olds to see an R-rated movie.
Patrick Crimmins, a spokesman for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, confirmed to Fox News Radio that Young Expressions Childcare in Bellmead is under investigation.

Lived within their means?
How can they reconcile condemming this and approving this “NEA celebrates ‘drag queen’ teachers” http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2553015/posts
Sadly I find myself grateful I never reproduced.
Inappropriate content is the only area where the two films differ (2007 vs 2010 remake). Both films are rated R, and while the British version had plenty of inappropriate material, the American version ups the ante. The strong language in the original is made even stronger in this update. Also, sexual dialogue appears a lot more frequently in this current version. As in the original, there is an extended scene involving Oscar naked on the roof of the house. Several shots of his bare backside are seen, and while none of this is in a sexual manner, it is still there and fairly graphic. One of the plot lines involves heavy homosexual content, and the film also has a fair amount of potty humor in it. All of this adds up to a movie that earns its R-rating.
Death at a Funeral does try to squeeze in a message of the importance of a loving family, but its clear thats not the point of the film. While the original was very dark, it at least felt original and wasnt quite as gratuitous in its delivery. Instead of original and restrained, we get a graphic retread, and thats not much of a trade. Death at a Funeral does little to distinguish itself, even among remakes.
Violence: Moderate
Profanity: Extreme
Sex/Nudity: Heavy

Apparently is has lots of “f” words and pushes homosexuality.
What a lovely movie for six-year-olds to see as “entertainment”!
Parents take preschoolers and other young children to R-rated movies, too. It boggles my mind.
In this case, it appears the movie-theater employees simply made a mistake or weren’t watching ... but surely the daycare workers knew what they were doing when they sat down to watch an R-rated movie.
You are what we need more of!
Have kids!!!!!
Article quotes daycare owner saying “the employee...was reprimanded.” “THE EMPLOYEE!!!!???” You’re saying there was only one employee involved...one employee can take a group of children to a movie? ONE EMPLOYEE?
What the hell kind of daycare sends a group of children out into the general population with only a single employee in charge?

The weights of the standard deficiencies cited in the past two years are as follows:
15 were weighted as High
8 were weighted as Medium - High
10 were weighted as Medium
3 were weighted as Medium - Low
"Marmaduke" is rated PG and Robin Hood is rated PG-13. Why would it have been OK to take 6 year olds to either of them????? Everyone involved needs to get a clue.
It wasn’t the parents taking the kids there.
It was a daycare center!
The movie looks like a ghetto movie where homosexuality, nudity is pushed and the “f” word is banged in their head.
It’s B.S. and an unrealistic EXCUSE.
This isn’t the first time this Young Expressions Child Care, daycare center had problems. It’s a daycare center near Waco, Texas and had previous investigations. In fact it has had 36 VIOLATIONS! Of those 36 VIOLATIONS 15 of them are deemed HIGH. The violations ranged from failing to conduct a BACKGROUND CHECK on an EMPLOYEE to EVIDENCE that STAFF used prohibited punishment of pinching, hitting and grabbing kids at the center.

What do they think they are, a Public School?
The movie they took the kids to is disgusting. It's a ghetto type movie that pushes homosexuality lots of foul language and if they don't know the words there is plenty of nudity according to a review.
This dayCARE center is
getting them primed for PUBLIC SCHOOL!
Sorry, I’m a lot more concerned about the safety of the children than the lack of a volume discount on the tickets. Silly me...
Logically, if the daycare didn’t care about the physical safety of the children it’s a bit of a stretch to hope that they care about the content of the movie they see. Again, just me doing that silly “thinking thing”...

You’re absolutley RIGHT!
Keep up the “silly thinking”. Few do it!

Too late for that now. Already collecting Social Security. :-)
The American Library Association will provide anyone of any age all materials in a library, including R and NC-17 rated films.
When will they bother to bust librarians and figures at the ALA for corrupting minors?
Not my library. You have to produce an ID to prove you’re over 18 to check out R-rated DVDs.
