Salon blogger and LV resident dispatches notion that COSTCO staff would never have seen a gun in that store before.

Honestly, in Vegas tons of folks working for the casinos are armed.

The difference is that Erik Scott may have “dissed” (did I get the ebonics right?) the costco worker. The worker may have wanted payback by having him arrested to ‘show him’ who was in charge. *My opinion, your mileage may vary.

I must say, I hate shopping armed, but i do it all the time.
You have to always be aware when you bend over to get an item on the lower shelf that you dont reveal yourself.
Top shelf too.

He blames it in the heat? Isn’t COSTCO air conditioned?
if the nerves were so frayed, why were there not injuries in the crowd? The shots were well placed.
The second volley of fire as Scott lay writhing on the floor
in his death throws bothers me greatly. It is DEEPLY disturbing.

Sounds like an anti-gun nut from DU would do something stupid like this and laugh about it. Those people are scary.

The story is very sad on so many levels, the writer of the article, seems to make half excuses for what happened;
First, Spotting a gun out in public can be scary if you have never seen one on a person before
Some hysterical twit probably was trained at a Government School to be afraid of guns unless a Government agent is in command shooting someone; just like in all the propaganda on TV.
Second,
I don’t believe that the police nefariously set out to kill an innocent man.
No, they just ambushed him then gunned him down.
Third, based on what grounds? And no one really wants to face the facts to why, which means it will deliberately happen again.

That’s the first explanation I’ve heard that explains all of the elements leading up to the arrival of the police.

I reached for something on the top shelf and I could feel air, knew it was visible. Looked to my left and there stood a woman with her jaw dropped.
I gave her the biggest sh~t-eating grin and walked past. Never made that mistake again!
I carry everywhere. Somewhat out of habit, like having the cell phone. They day I don’t will be the day I need it.

So was Scott destroying merchandise, or was it someone else, or was it a bogus accusation?

We won't know just how hard she carried this out until the 911 tapes are released.
Criminals do this regularly to disarm potential victims.

So was Scott destroying merchandise, or was it someone else, or was it a bogus accusation? He was checking water bottles to see if they fit in his backpack. Apparently at Costco it's an executable offense.
