NEW YORK—Rush Limbaugh had his own view of George Steinbrenner.
"That cracker made a lot of African-American millionaires," the radio commentator said Tuesday on his show after the New York Yankees owner died at age 80. "He fired a bunch of white guys as managers left and right."
Rev. Al Sharpton called Limbaugh's statements "repugnant and offensive whether they were intended to be facetious or tongue and cheek."
"For the last 20-years I have known George Steinbrenner and we have quarreled over diversity and community programs but I always found him fair, direct, and genuinely prone to do what he felt was right," Sharpton said in a statement. "He generated a lot of money for a lot of players as well as for baseball as a whole. ... Mr. Limbaugh and his broadcasters owe his family an apology."

White people like Limbaugh and Steinbrenner are allowed to call each other "cracker."
Such as "Hey cracker, how did you do on the back nine?" or "Say there cracker, do you have any good recommendations for municipal bonds?"
Blacks using the word are engaging in racist derogatory speech, and blacks of all people should know better. But for whites, it's taking ownership of the word, turning it around and making it their own.
I live in San Jose, California and you should see some of the crap this newspaper writes. They particularly LOVE to put the police down...constantly!
I swear, I don’t buy the paper as it’s sometimes delivered to my doorstep (they can’t sell em anymore...they’re hurting big time) and/or someone at work brings it in and I randomly see what kind of crap’s in it.
Trust me, this paper is the equivalent to the NYT.
