CBS: Poll Finds Obama in Summer of Discontent
CBS ^ | July 13, 2010 | Dean Reynolds

(CBS) Pessimism permeates a CBS News poll released Tuesday, finding President Obama's overall job approval rating down three points, tying his all-time low of 44 percent.

The survey also finds a gathering sense that the man in charge is not doing enough to alleviate Americans' worries, CBS News Correspondent Dean Reynolds reports.

In Batavia, Ill., social worker Cherie Jones Das has a short wish list for the president.

"I'd like to see Obama do more, yeah. I really would," said Das. "I'd like to see him do more to promote jobs."

Indeed, in the poll, the economy is seen as the biggest problem by far facing the country, specifically the lack of jobs.

"A job, period," said Californian Walter Powell. "A job, you know, most people, they can't get jobs."

Summer of discontent? Is that the new euphemism for 18 months of outrage?!

With that kind of sampling, it makes Me wonder what Obamas real numbers are. Republicans undersampled(again).

“I’d like to see Obama do more, yeah. I really would,” said Das. “I’d like to see him do more to promote jobs.”

As usual, the Idiots simply don’t get it.

The government doesn’t “promote” jobs.

The government, at best, can get out of the way and allow the entrepreneurial spirit in American business to create jobs.

For this, the government has to STOP screwing around with the economy, STOP screwing around with business, STOP passing more - and increasingly draconian and anti-business - laws.

The idiots in government can’t even balance their books; how can they be expected to manage such an alien notion as for-profit business - the success of which is the ONLY thing that creates jobs.

As President Reagan so aptly observed, “The government isn’t the solution to problems, the government IS the problem.”

Obama-style socialism NEVER created ANYTHING except poverty and confusion.

.

Jack-ass.

Jobs are growing in the non-productive public sector.

Obama's actions are destroying jobs in the private sector.

I was at the gym tonight and forced to watch CBS News .
And it was a wonderful experience when they discussed this poll.
It was described as “ ominous political news “ for Barry.
They did not sugar coat the poll and the only optimistic note was from a black man who said eventually night becomes day or something along those lines.
They even interviewed a Hispanic woman who said she supported the AZ law, like 57% of the respondents.
One thing I didn’t see, but, they may have reported ( or not ) was Barry’s dismal approval number-44%.
