Mark Felt died last week at the age of 95. For those who dont recognize that name, Felt was the Deep Throat of Watergate fame. It was Felt who provided Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein of The Washington Post with a flow of leaks about what had happened, how it happened and where to look for further corroboration on the break-in, the cover-up, and the financing of wrongdoing in the Nixon administration. Woodward and Bernsteins exposé of Watergate has been seen as a high point of journalism, and their unwillingness to reveal Felts identity until he revealed it himself three years ago has been seen as symbolic of the moral rectitude demanded of journalists.
In reality, the revelation of who Felt was raised serious questions about the accomplishments of Woodward and Bernstein, the actual price we all pay for journalistic ethics, and how for many years we did not know a critical dimension of the Watergate crisis. . . .

This de facto coup seems to me to be one of the biggest political stories of the 20th century, but no one seems to care about it.
if obama was nixon/gop, he be in jail right now. Obama has broke so many laws already. He’s corrupt as well and the medi a have largely left him alone
Watergate looks like a laughably small matter
compared to what Obama and his evil minions are now doing.
Bribing Senators
Suing states
No budget
No SS budget report
DOJ will not bring suits against certain groups ...
Need I go on?
Obama needs to be impeached and tried for treason.
It should always be mentioned that it was John Dean who ordered the break-in to retrieve the “Black Book” that listed the hookers used by the DNC. That book included Dean’s then girlfriend and later wife.
Journalistic ethics???????????????????????????????
An oxymoron of the first order.
Neither of these two men have a shred of integrity and now as in the past use their agenda for an excuse to print their version of ‘facts’.
The biggest of them all, Cap-and-Trade legislation being pushed by a president who created the system, CCX, in the first place before he held office — said legislation will benefit/enrich his cronies and colleagues at the expense of the taxpayer to the tune of billions of dollars. If THIS is not abuse of office, nothing is.
I read this book years ago. Another story suppressed by the MSM.
Today the upper levels of the FBI, CIA and MSM are all bought and paid for by the Democrat party. And even if a Democrat is impeached (like Bill Clinton was), they would never do the honorable thing and step down.
I still have doubts that Felt was the sole source of the deep throat revelations...
Thanks so much for posting this.
The black caucus was the leaders of the get Nixon crowd. Baker was also one of the Republican Senators that went to Nixon and told him that he would be removed from office as the democrats with some republicans would vote for removal. So he resigned instead of being removed...
The hero of the whole mess was G. Gorden Liddy, he didn't squeal on Nixon and went to prison...his store in prison is an intresting book....
“The press hated Nixon since he was Eisenhower’s Vp”
They hated him since he was a senator working against communism.
Foreigners cannot be charged with treason. He'd have to prove his citizenship before that can happen. (seeing as he was born in Kenya as a British subject I don't expect him to be able to do that)
We need to charge him with espionage and execute him as a spy.
Read the article; FASCINATING!!!
While I’m all for uncovering government wrondoing, Felt isn’t an innocent. It was his breaking the law as an FBI agent that got Bill Ayers off the hook during the Weather Underground investigation. Without Bill Ayers, we would have no President Obama.
I like your analysis and solution.
Journalism died when they became no more than democrat cheerleaders (Sometime in the 60’s apparently). Most “journalists” are communist traitors and should be shot.
bttt
