Russia's new generation S-500 missile defense system to enter service
Russia's new generation S-500 air defense system will resolve the country's missile defense problems when it enters service, Air Force Commander Colonel General Alexander Zelin said on Tuesday.
"The S-500 air defense system is a system that will solve Russia's missile defense problems," Zelin said.
Answering a question about the S-500's technical specifications, Zelin said: "I would not compare the S-500 with the U.S. missile defense since they have different technical characteristics".
The S-500 is expected to have an extended range of up to 600 km (over 370 miles) and simultaneously engage up to 10 targets. The system will be capable of destroying hypersonic and ballistic targets.

National Security: The administration is ready to sign a treaty stripping us of our ability to defend ourselves against enemy nuclear missiles, including Iran’s and North Korea’s.

Red Alert. [I feature how BO is attacking our own missile defense in post 2.]
A missile defense gap ends sovereignty. Highest importance!
I don’t care if I’m flamed/zotted/banned/shunned for life. What...ever. He’s right:

I call BS. They can’t even get making a decent chicken salad sandwich or fixing a pothole right.
And who would even consider attacking the Soviet Union...err....Russia from the air? If they did indeed build it they will sell it.
Chortle. The pothole part sounds like Michigan...
Well, believe what you want.
“I call BS. They cant even get making a decent chicken salad sandwich or fixing a pothole right.”
Never underestimate the Bear. They have financial muscle and know how to focus it effectively. Many foreign spies have been stealing our tech. Chinagate still has repercussions. Only a fool would gamble on them failing every time.
Obama’s goal to strip us of missile defense is dangerous, especially in light of proliferation.

Recent spy news ... proves that the Kremlin still looks upon the United States as the main enemy.
Yesterday, the U.S. intelligence community lost a unique chance to learn what was behind Russias current illegal operations.
Over 6,000 former KGB officers are running Russias federal and local governments, and they are also managing the countrys oil and natural gas industries, which were renationalized.
On February 12, 2004, Russias new tsar, Vladimir Putin, declared the demise of the Soviet Union a national tragedy on an enormous scale. We kept quiet. In July 2007, he predicted a new Cold War against the West.
Seen any Russian made computers or laptops on the market? Go figure.
“Seen any Russian made computers or laptops on the market? Go figure.”
Dellski
they can sell it to Iran & Syria, & Pakistan & any other tinpot lunatic government that they want to.
They can use the *threat of selling this to leverage concessions from us on many issues.
We have no idea what Russia’s tech is capable of. The Nazis had tech disparity too. Horse carts were used to supply their Panzer divisions.
We’ve been blessed so far, but if Russia knows of a single day — just one day — with a missile defense gap, and we are toast.
We clearly have a president who wants to strip us of that defense while Putin keeps chugging along and openly declaring war on us [previous post].
Further, what kind of treaty with Russia keeps us from defending ourselves from Iran, Pakistan, China, and North Korea?
This report is a major wakeup call.
