I just called & waited about 90 seconds. I said "please vote no on the financial reform bill"
There more than a few things I’d like to call Scott Brown!
The finance bill destroys small business in America while doing nothing to fix the Fannie and Freddie problem which was the source of the meltdown.
Government screws everything up ... It’s all they know how to do.
You know what the “enabling act of 1933” was all about? No, google it. America is on the same path, just piecemeal. This is one step on the way to Kagan’s “Presidential Administration”. Suffocating American Enterprise from the bottom, by regulating everything to death. Read Kagan’s article if you want to know how it supposed to work.
I DID! The man I spoke with said they are getting a huge amount of calls expressing my opinion...to VOTE NO...and that this will definitely be taken under consideration.
I URGE EVERYONE TO MAKE THE CALL...It may not seem like much but we need to do every thing we can!
“Please” isn’t going to work.
We conservatives put him in office. I even contributed to his campaign and I’m from Pennsylvania.
If he votes for this he needs to be taken to the woodshed.
Please won’t work in many instances, but today we just need to post a large number. The details won’t make a difference, it will just be: 23 YES, 948,343 NO
I hope.
CALL!!!
Sucker........
The best of intentions still lead to the worst of outcomes. The warnings about this RINO were posted and exposed well before anyone voted him in. To say “I was duped” just won’t fly anymore. Especially with so much at stake.
Did you call?
Stop complaining! If it wasn’t for his election to the Senate we would not have been able to stop the massive takeover of our Health Care System!!! Hmmm... never mind.
I’m getting voice mail...due to high # of calls. Hmm..
yes, and emailed earlier. They didn’t like me because I said I was not from Mass ... I said that maybe Scott needs act like an American than a socialist toady, she hung up ... LOL.
Yeah, but I recall some here were carrying Brown around on their shoulders as the next best hope for America.
Winning the election has done nothing for America.
We need to repeal the 17th amendment and give the Senate back to the states, no more Kennedy seat, or Schumer seat for that matter. It is what ails.
When the chips are down and it counts, RINOs always go with progressives.
I didn’t mean to imply that I wasn’t one of the suckers... I seriously thought at the time that if he was elected we would have be saved from the health care monstrosity. That this in itself justified his election (I wasn’t a big cheerleader, but didn’t discourage). I could not have been more wrong! I think the devil we know is much better than one in sheep’s clothing.
I was just trying to inform, not accuse — It was a delaying action, that may have bought some time. And yes I gave money to his campaign.
I just wanted to add what people were saying ... But progressives reveal themselves over time. Brown is just progressive lite. Otherwise why would you vote for this anti-American freedom bill?
History, spread the word -— I suggest you read about the “Enabling Act of 1933”. It will provide the context to what Obowma is trying to do with his stooges in Congress. How else do you think these magic 2000 page bills appear out of thin air, no one reads them nor understands them, they have all been pre-written by the ones who want to destroy America as we know it. We should keep a sharp eye out for who is on the wrong side. Scott has definitely slipped over the line here.
Smother the American dream with suffocating bureaucracy by a big government seriously stuck on stupid. With just a little bit of payback racism in the mix.
No one has explained how the 17th amendment could change anything. The same people who elected Kennedy ,et al; would still vote for local reps that would vote for these dinosaurs because of the pork they brought home. A fully informed electorate is our only hope. The only tweak I could see reforming the system is only taxpayers vote. No dead beats voting themselves free money.
I will try — It puts the Senate back to the States House. The State government would then have their say in the federal government, something that is missing now. As it is now, States have no say in federal tyranny being jammed down our throats. States have no say in the unfunded mandates, like the current health Kare bill forces. It may do nothing in Massachusetts but it will do a lot for the country.
The People’s House and the sovereign State’s House, how it was meant to be. In America, sovereignty belongs to the people and the sovereign States, not the federal government.
As an example, look what trouble Gov Brewer is causing.
Please isnt going to work.
We conservatives put him in office. I even contributed to his campaign and Im from Pennsylvania.
If he votes for this he needs to be taken to the woodshed.
You got that right! Here in PA we’ve learned the hard way what happens when you don’t punish your Senators who stray from the Reservation. It’s called Arlen Specter!
Doesn’t Gov Brewer explain why getting the Senators under states control is not necessary. A strong Gov and state electorate is what was needed, as with this immigration bill.
The states rights thing does not make sense. Either I vote for my Senator or I vote for a local legislator and he in turn votes for the Senator of his choosing. At least I can choose over the corrupt political machine. Here in PA I would be stuck with Spector forever because the machine loved him. Toomey would have no shot and either would Santorum have been elected. I trust the people over my local state officials any day.
If she had control of her two senators, do you think McCain would have done what he did, pushing AMNESTY, running up costs for Arizona citizens. Instead her two Senators would have fought for Arizona, or be replaced.
Instead, we have the McCain seat and he does what he wants. If not for that, the fence and increased border security would have happened long ago.
