WASHINGTON – The White House is contradicting the NASA administrator's claim that President Barack Obama assigned him to reach out to Muslims on science matters.
NASA Administrator Charles Bolden recently told Al-Jazeera network that one of the charges Obama gave him was "to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with dominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science and engineering."
Some conservative activists criticized the remarks.
White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Monday that such activities are not among Bolden's assigned tasks. He said administration officials have spoken with NASA about the matter.

hmmmm....who is most likely lying? The White House, in order to cover up Obama’s obvious preferential treatment of all things Muslim, or Bolden, who had nothing to gain by telling the truth?

I don't remember the White House denying this story when it was first published in the Orlando Sentinal ON FEBRUARY 16, 2010, five months ago!!!
There were also several FR threads on the topic back then. So why the denial now?!?

One word....Elections.
Entertainment opportunities abound with the BO White House. They threw him under the Space Shuttle because that area under the bus is full.
It's one or the other. They can't sell him as a respected choice & then expose him as a liar!!
The idea of reaching out to the Muzz and making them feel good is an inherent part of the NASA mission. 0bummer’s fingerprints are nowhere to be seen. Sure.
