As Sen. John McCain assumes the GOP front-runner mantle, his long-standing, but little-noticed association with donors such as George Soros and Teresa Heinz Kerry is receiving new attention among his Republican critics.

In 2001, McCain founded the Alexandria, Va.-based Reform Institute as a vehicle to receive funding from George Soros' Open Society Institute and Teresa Heinz Kerry's Tides Foundation and several other prominent non-profit organizations.

Financial contributors while McCain was chairman of the Reform Institute also have included the Educational Foundation of America, a group that supports abortion and opposes drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve.

The Soros-Kerry funding connection with McCain was first exposed by Ed Morrissey at the Captains Quarters blog in 2005.

IMHO, Soros is the most dangerous man in the country. At least.

I always thought so. The now discredited Daily KOS polls are funded by Soros. They have been used this summer to try to prop up McCain and to show him holding a big lead over JD. McCain is a POS.

IMHO, I think Soros ordered him to throw the election. Too much did not make sense.

I believe you are correct. McCain never tried to win...now that his Soros connection has been revealed, it all makes sense.

I pray the good people of Arizona wise up in time and 'retire' McCain!

The 2008 campaign was a stacked deck election. McCain, Obama, and Clinton are all progressives of the first water. Until Progressive equals Treason in the American mind, we will see this scenario played out again and again.

Will the people in AZ ever know about this? Would they understand the implications if they did?

Nope. McCain would never follow such an order. McCain is clearly a genuine patriot. He's just -- about some very important things -- a very, very, very stupid patriot. (The stupidity of the knee-jerk "moderate" who refuses to see or acknowledge that which would discomfort their complacency.)

Occam's Razor also says no. Much simpler explanation: The hard left saw who John McCain was (just as most of us movement conservatives do) and knew that he would unilaterally, and on his own initiative, stand down from attacking Obama's inexperience and racist/leftist extremism.

We all hoped it would be different, but we all knew the truth, that John McCain was a loser. The left knew it too. They used John McCain by simply letting him be himself.

He was ordered to throw the election. He and Obama were selected; not elected.

“And oldie, but a goodie. McCain needs to be retired!”

I question the goodie? I have often wondered if he wasn’t turned in the NV prison and returned as an agent in place.

In McCain's feeble mind throwing the election would not be seen as unpatriotic.

BTW, I challenge your claim that McStupid is a patriot. His incessant clamor for amnesty makes him NOT patriotic in my book.

Soros was a Jew who collaborated with the Nazis. His money came from art that the Nazis stole from Jews in Hungary that he managed to get his hands on after the war. How much lower can anyone go? Soros is vile scum.
