Good for CEO Jim Skinner for standing up to the threats from CSPI, his linked reply letter is worth the read.

CSPI like other EMOcrat groups will continue to try to force others to live the way that CSPI wants until they are forcefully stopped.
Liberal scum is all about totalitarianism and there is only one way to deal with such filth.

"When CSPI refers to America's children as an unpaid drone army' ... are they thinking of the hundred of thousands of hours children are forced to spend sitting in school, when they could be out exercising? School causes obesity!

It is time for America to stand up to the silly liberal notions and tell them all where to stick their stupid ideas.

Skinner’s letter mentions “frivolous”. McDonald’s should pursue this with a countersuit alleging frivolity and asking for the court to direct CSPI to pay for McDonald’s cost of defending against the litigation.

You make an excellent point that’s all too true.
Many years ago, longer than I’d like to state I remember our recesses in grammar and middle school, we actually played hard and excercised, got tired out. It’s not happening now, I guess PE can’t be afforded by school districts.

Under CSPI leadership and domination, you will receive two or three bowls of rice per day. Well, actually, the three are reserved for those who behave and don't cause us any trouble. In addition, hamburgers, hot dogs, fish, red meat , chicken. pork, seafood, pizza, popcorn, cakes, pies, soda, candy and other assorted items are verboten. You are commanded to refer to the ‘approved’ list for your daily food consumption. Carrots, cabbage, leeks, spinach, eggplant, broccoli, squash and assorted legumes are allowed in unlimited quantities. We care.

Schools have eliminated PE because they’re so far behind in teaching basic skills that they don’t have time for it. They’ve eliminated recesses where kids run around because of lawsuits. And they’ve got longer school days, before-and-after-school care ... and lots of junk food available, too.

Great post, except...
You forgot two of their favorite targets, restaurants that serve gargantuan portion sizes and companies that make frozen dinners.
CSPI is a vile organization using emotional (read scare) tactics to convince people to eat what CSPI deems appropriate, no freedom of choice would be allowed.
If they could get away with it, they’d either modify every restaurant’s menu or shut them down. Same with frozen dinner companies.
I’m sorry to say that in the early ‘90s, we subscribed to their monthly “news”letter. It didn’t take me long to figure out what they were up to and we canceled shortly after-wards.

I can’t remember the name of that movie, but remember seeing it as a kid.
Can you help an old guy out and tell me which movie it’s from?
Thanks,

On June 22, 2010 Jim Skinner, Vice Chairman, CEO and President of McDonalds Corporation, received a letter from Stephen Gardner, Litigation Director of the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI). In this letter CSPI "demands" that McDonald's USA, LLC ("McDonald's") immediately stop using toys to market Happy Meals to young children" and "This letter details McDonald's illegal practices and offers to discuss resolution before CSPI files a lawsuit." I have a suggestion Mr Gardner. That you and your irk go inhale a bullet, do it for the children,do it for gaia

Thanks to you both, I just couldn’t place the scene, but it looked familiar.
May have to see if it’s in our personal library and watch it again.
Ahhh, the folly of being young again....if only for a couple of hours.

Public schools have eliminated PE because kids might discover that equal opportunity doesn’t mean equal outcome.
Besides, the schools are too busy with their leftist indoctrination agenda, to be concerned with providing basic education.
