The saddest of all is back before the dubious ‘Great Society’ blacks had a higher marriage rate and lower out of wedlock birthrate than whites.
IMO, it was because the black community was able to use shame to help make fellow community members responsible. A man that knocked up a woman and didn’t do right by her was looked down upon.
Shame is a useful thing. Too bad many people have none and are never reminded that they should be ashamed of themselves.

He said that soon, the numbers would be much higher, therefore the expectation of marriage before childbearing was over for blacks.
Trouble is, at this point in time, white and hispanic illegitimacy rates are higher than black rates were then, and have been for some time. So it's all over but the profiteering by "wedding planners" and divorce lawyers.
