I agree with you in principle, but I’m not sure a bunch of inner-city goons using a manslaughter conviction as an excuse to rob Foot Locker can be described as a “riot.” I don't think that "protest" is a more accurate descriptor. Same thing with just mentioning the arrests, though to be fair, perhaps that change was made because the arrests are now the story since the riots have ended.
