The aircraft crashed earlier this year as it tried to land at Smolensk airport in severe fog. The fog, which had thickened rapidly just before the arrival of the plane, had reduce visibility to little more than 650ft (200m), well short of the recommended minimum of 3,280ft (1,000m)
Poland reportedly wants access to US satellite photography that might cast new light on the weather conditions at the time of the crash, according to Gazeta Prawna, a Polish newspaper.
Prosecutors want help from American experts as to whether there is a scientific and technical capacity to generate artificial fog, the paper said.

Like I said the Russian ATC drove that plane into the ground.
Glide slope and on course was being told to the pilot.
But there is one problem with the ATC, they lied to the investigators. ATC told one investigator that they saw the plane on radar at 1.1km and told to pilot to level at 50 meters and in the other statement ATC stated they lost the plane on the radar at 1.5 - 1.7 km out.
Hardly a source from Poland, it comes directly from Russia.

No, a pilot who, through either arrogance or political pressure, igonored repeated warnings that the fog was below minimums and attempted a landing is what brought down (Polish) president's plane.

Exactly. Even if the fog was artificial, no one forced the pilot to fly his plane into the ground but him. If he couldn't see, he shouldn't have attempted to land. I suspect he was afraid he would lose his job if he refused to land. It is my understanding the Polish president had fired a previous pilot that had refused to land during similar circumstances.
