Carnahan Drops Prices For Obama Event
National Journal ^ | 7/8/2010 | Reid Wilson

Posted on 07/08/2010 12:39:25 PM PDT by Qbert

Pres. Obama is the best fundraiser the Dem Party has, but his drawing power is way down from its peak during the '08 campaign. Obama is heading to MO and NV today to raise money for Sec/State Robin Carnahan (D), running for an open Senate seat, and Senate Maj. Leader Harry Reid.

But Carnahan's campaign wasn't able to completely sell out the Folly Theater, where Obama will appear for a grassroots event on Carnahan's behalf, at the prices they wanted. Tickets once priced at $250 are now going for $99, while $35 tickets are half off.

The grassroots event at the 1,078-seat theater is expected to net $250K for Carnahan's campaign, the Kansas City Star reported today.

Q: What’s the difference between Hitler and Obama?
A: *Hitler* wrote his *own* book.

Hitler could also speak without, uh, uh, uh, a, uh, TelePrompTer.

Good thing for us that dictators are getting incompetent along with the rest of the sheeple. How could we beat off a smart one?

...the albatross takes flight, and more rats head for cover.
Carnahan must be in dire straights to call on the liar in chief

I have no doubt that I am a thorn in ‘Republicans’ side.

Happy to be so too...

If people are satisfied only to be a Republican, they are the problem not the solution.

Look at the Republican party today. Our standard bearer in 2008 was John McCain. The RNC chief gets criticized and blames it on racism.

We will sign on to Kagan. We failed to filibuster the Health Care bill.

The Republican party leadership is devoid of leadership skills.

Bambi seems to hate Jews as much as Hitler did, but in the “dictatorial efficiency” department Bambi is a third-rate poseur.

...$35 tickets are half off.

Pretty soon they'll accept donations of 2 canned goods or a "gently used" item of clothing.

>> The Republican party leadership is devoid of leadership skills.

They’re kind of lacking in vision, principles, and organizational skills too.

Nor are they able to educate the voters as to what they stand for, and why it’s best for America.

But... they’re highly skilled at enlarging the government and bringing home the bacon! And WOO-EEE can they PARTY HEARTY on OUR money.

That's such a critical point. In my state (California) if you are a politician that espouses sound Conservative principles, the party leadership will have nothing to do with you.

So how does the state back away from the edge? Hell, it can't. Anything that would contribute to that is 'out of bounds' for (RP) leadership support. It's frustrating as can be.
